Hi Guy and Gals
Welcome to the channel,My name is Loren, My house on wheels is a 2006 Ford cutaway chassy Ex Ambulance with a 6.0 diesel. that I converted to a tiny home on wheels,Did a 4X4 conversion, But best of all I converted it to run on waste vegetable oil! Now the biggest question I get asked is what is my background? As you can hear I have a thick Hungarian accent! Probably because that is where I was born and raised! Most of you guys know, What to expect from my channel, a mix of videos like Van Life, camping outdoors activities and lots of wrenching, along with some offroad and Overland adventures. The project that im most exited is Building out the Dodge Dakota and hoping by this fall to be able to continue transformation, just waiting on parts, I’m sure some of you know how that goes, the waiting time its just incredible..

10:44 Don's van is perfect for the single retired traveler, love it! And Mimi's RV is so pretty. I really like how she has updated it with the turquoise paint.
Hi Michelle, so when I updated it, I did a lot of research on RV updates and what products to potentially use or not use. I found that the paint was really important and let it cure for a couple of weeks before a second coat was applied. I also learned That using tack on pretend boards, which is really an adhesive backed wallpaper, cut down on a lot of wood weight that would normally have been used. And the nice part of the adhesive fake wood is that you can peel it off and it leaves no residue and doesn’t damage the wall underneath it. So it’s really awesome stuff and I’m glad I did some research before I use the products that I did. I don’t mind using fake stuff if it works because it’s aesthetics anyways and being surrounded by colours and textures that make you feel good is always a bonus, least it is to me. With regards to the turquoise paint I once had a kitchen that was about seven shades lighter than the turquoise I used on my RV. my kitchen was quite large and so I had to use a much lighter color. But I think this turquoise worked out OK for the job that I wanted done. And a nice thing about Colour is you can always change it if you don’t like it. It’s never really permanent. John's van is awesome, wow. i wish mine was that clean. i loved that bus too. I want to build a pantry just like that. her cabinet treatment contrasts with the old ones, love the turquoise compared to the wood. i like wood but the paint really brightens it up. I wonder if she is going to do the passenger side cabinet and hte overheads of the driver seat too. Too big for me.
Thank you for the kind words about the interior of my coach. I really enjoyed doing the redo a few years ago and it’s gotten a fair amount of compliments. However, having said that there are people who do not like the color. But we all have our own taste, right? I’m not actually going to do any more colour in there I think there is enough colour and I won’t want to overdo it. I really just wanted to freshen it up somewhat and I feel I accomplish that. Thanks again.😊

Ha! You’re right, there is no such thing as stealth camping in a rig size of mine. That’s so cute. Yes it is completely four season ready. The insulation the heated areas, all of that it’s truly an all season rig and that is a benefit when you live in Canada for sure.😊

Awesome breakfast - great way to start your day. Don has a very nice camper van - I like how well cared for it is and kudos to Don for keeping himself strong, going out in the world and enjoying his life at his age. So glad he got to meet you. Mimi’s RV is beautiful and I love the colours. It is very clean too.👏🏼👍🏻. You guys should try and find a secure vehicle storage near the Vancouver airport, it is way cheaper to fly across and then you all have a vehicle for doing your errands while there and then fly back. You and Leah should settle nearer the shop if that is where your are planning to work and spend time, maybe more expensive on the island but the cost savings on the ferry, and on your time going back and forth is worth it and you get to be together more. ❤❤

I had a 1979 Dodge van 360 engine. I did travel half USA as a traveling nurse back in the day, best time of my live in my twenties.

42k? Not bad! Is it winterized? 4 Season? Lovely looking RV for somebody. I think it’s a bit too big for me. I wouldn’t be able to Sealth camp with this! I need something that’s four-wheel-drive! Hope it goes to a lovely couple who love camping in the outdoors! Masha!
Thank you for your questions and appreciating the price now that I’ve lowered it quite a bit. Yes it is fully winterized and very cold weather capable. Truly a four season unit and the arctic package comes stock from when it was manufactured. Yes and stealth camping would not be possible in this thing! But having said that nobody too much wants to tangle with me, because my rig is usually bigger than theirs!😅😅😅……..just kiddin’ around…… I too hope it goes too a lovely person or people. I agree, it will make a beautiful home for somebody if they want to live in a full-time. You don’t rely on anybody for anything. And it does have 300 solar on the roof which keeps the coach batteries charged up. It has an inverter as well. Thank you for your nice comment.

Thanks again for answering my question on the live stream about Taurus. A neighbor is looking at it for her teenage son and wanted second thoughts on it. The battery thing is all that seems to be wrong with it, but the guy is happy to go to the shop with her to get it looked at properly so that's a good sign I think. Anyways thanks again it's helpful to know a little bit more about things beforehand.

Thanks Mattos for those sweet words. It’s so nice that you and some others really appreciate the work that I did inside there on that RV. As for driving it, it’s a breeze to drive. It really is, it’s like driving a great big, huge van. And what’s really fun is when I’m side-by-side with a semi on the freeway and then they look over! Many times they give me a thumbs up or throw me a kiss. It’s really quite sweet.🌷

Just another comment to you Loren, I don’t know how much you pay to cross the ferry but recently I checked on a ferry from Michigan to Wisconsin, for me , my sister, and my car, it’s $700 😮😮😮, I was shocked, I’m not going on a cruise to Hawaii, I just want to visit family in Wisconsin.

That’s a really good question and it seems funny now that we didn’t even address that! So it’s a 2005 triple E commander. Made right here in Canada. The mileage is 106,000 kms. That translates to approximately 66,000 miles.. thank you for that question.👍👍
