After struggling with this for a week, I said to myself, "Maybe the organic chem guy has a video. He has videos on like everything." Lo and behold, it's the first search result. I'm always amazed by the depth of knowledge and skill on this channel. Infinite thanks from a college student just trying to pass their precalc class!
Eversince online classes started, I'd always go to this channel to learn more about our Pre-Calculus subject and I've been getting pretty high grades. Thank you!
i think it's your voice that calms me down and how you explain out every little thing instead of talking fast and merging steps together. You are the best teacher out there

Thank you, your videos have been a lifesaver for math this year. Unfortunately the instruction I'm receiving at school this year contains limited examples and my teacher isn't exactly the best at explaining and often tends to jump around on notes which means I get lost easily, plus we're learning a whole year's content in like 9 weeks and it's a cram. Again, thank you so much for making those videos, I love how you give lots of examples and explain in a step by step manner which I really miss from last year's teacher.
Nothing the comments don't say already... Your videos have once again been my secret weapon when it comes to mastering a topic I had no clue about just minutes ago. Watching this a couple hours before a Trig exam and now feel confident enough to take it.
@@maevizzz it went really bad. The class average was a 58, I got a 52. Came outta the class with a C. It wasn't hard per se so much as the fact there were 50 percent more questions but the same 110 minute time limit. The whole class was still there taking the test after ten minutes over time. Instructor has to kick us all out.
i am panicking a day before my test that I couldn't solve simple questions like these. But now, I can solve some tough questions from my textbook. Thank you so much! You are a life saver!
The amount of pain and confusion with this topic is off the charts, I had this test and while I was doing the test I was damn confident about my answers but then the results came and I had like 3 items done correctly, This video really helped me
Cramming for our quiz and I actually didn't learn anything from my teacher. My head aches looking at those things on the board and I thought I couldn't understand anything and thay I wouldnt understand a thing. Although I'm a bit late with the lesson, i would still want to thank you cuz you're saving my life.
THANK GOD FOR THIS VIDEO!!! I was struggling with this concept for DAYS and a 24 minute video answered absolutely every question I had. Curse you, K12!
Hey just here to say thank you for all the contents that you do. I passed my calculus course last semester, and it’s all thanks to your explanation. Wish you the best this year!
In class this was so frustrating I almost cried. But for the first two examples I paused the video and did exactly what you did. I feel a lot better now.
THIS VIDEO WAS A LIFE SAVER!!! helped me gain confidence knowing I could make mistakes and have the questions and errors I made be explained!!! ever since I started watching and doing the practice problems in the video my math test grades have gone from 70s and 40s to 95s and 100s!!!!!
Just know everyone you should always look at the hardest side and not just the left or the right. it's very easy to get stuck if you go with left or right not the side that is hard. Anyways just pointing that out. :)
i cannot explain how joyous I am! i was unable to understand this for a year. my teachers and friends taught me many time but this man made it possible for me. And its my exam day when i watched this video. Thanks man
For the last problem at 23:54 you can solve it quicker if you just convert tan(x) to sin(x) / cos(x) and then the top becomes sin^2(x) and you are done.
Would be appreciated if you did one about simplifying trig expressions. Been kinda confusing and difficult finding a way to rewrite problems while having no idea if I'm doing it right
This Video is a lifesaver!! Thank you so much!! I've been struggling for a couple weeks now and your video explained everything I needed to know in easy to understand steps.
22:59 in this problem, can we instead change the right side of the equation after changing the left so that it matches in the end? or will it be wrong because we already chose to do the left to make it equal to the right side? we can change the tan(x) to sinx/cosx and then multiply it to the sinx beside it. that makes it the same to the left side of the equation.
Proving Trig Identities do not have one approach. The goal is to prove the equality of the left and right sides. Therefore, as far as you are able to apply the identities and algebra to prove that the right side is equal to the left side, you should be ok.
THANK YOU!! My Precalc grade hasn’t been the best and I need to understand this to bring it up, and your practice has been SOO helpful! Thank you!! (Im gonna get that A- at the end of this marking period if it kills me lol)
This video was very good. Thank you for your help. By the way, I used to have a teacher who taught this lesson using analogies that don't make sense. She refers to factoring as "chopsticks and a bowl" and refers to multiplying by the conjugate as "chunky one". Weird right?
Why are you such an adorable little muffin, especially when you get excited ( like at 15:10 )? My poor heart shall do back flips at the joy that merries from your voice. If it's with you, if I can practice math with you, I won't drop out of college. Thank you.
I am so happy that I encountered this video. I have a test upcoming, and I had no idea what I was listening to in class. The problem was I understand it, but then I had trouble solving it. I did so much research on just Trig Id. This video made sense to everything! Thank you so much for making a video on it. I just wish it would show how to turn trig id into numbers. Does anyone know how to do so?

13:06 In question 5 it'd be easier if you take the more complex side of the equation and simplify it, I'm speaking this with prior experience and if you do that here is what you get: Sin(x) Tan(x) = (1-cos²(x)) / cos(x) => Sin(x) Tan(x) = sin²(x)/cos(x) - since 1-cos²(x) = sin²(x) => Sin(x) Tan(x) = sin(x) × sin(x)/cos(x) - simplifying the square on sin(x) => Sin(x) Tan(x) = sin(x) × tan(x) - since sin(x)/cos(x) = tan(x) Q.E.D
I searched tons of videos for the pre requisite for this which is 7.1 (fundament identities) this is 7.2 what helped me was just practicing questions over and over, to me 7.1 is harder to grasp then 7.2. So to anybody reading this go practice 7.1 questions once you get to this it’ll be a lot more easier to understand

In question 5 it'd be easier if you take the more complex side of the equation and simplify it, I'm speaking this with prior experience and if you do that here is what you get:
Sin(x) Tan(x) = (1-cos²(x)) / cos(x)
=> Sin(x) Tan(x) = sin²(x)/cos(x) - since 1-cos²(x) = sin²(x)
=> Sin(x) Tan(x) = sin(x) × sin(x)/cos(x) - simplifying the square on sin(x)
=> Sin(x) Tan(x) = sin(x) × tan(x) - since sin(x)/cos(x) = tan(x)
