When driving at high speed on the freeway is there any wobble in the middle of the wing? I've read that people have bought reps of these & that they flex under high winds.
I might have missed it but hopefully you used some Loctite on those screws so they don't come loose. I personally hate drilling holes so very interesting concept for the wing. Hopefully it doesnt harm the trunk or quarter panels in any way!
@@spec_egg I think he meant if you used loctite on the screws. You put loctite on the screw before you screw them in, so they don't become loose with vibrations.
Just Flip the bracket one more time, around the mounting positions axes. The right one will go flipped to the left side, and the left side flipped to the right side. Then it will stay ok.
I hate the the bracket is backwards, because it should be adjustable for more downward force, but now it can't be adjusted, and looks like it's at the wrong angle to give downward force. You made a good effort, but it looks messed up due to the wrong angle.
flip the hookplates horizontally maybe then, the wing's feet 'll come inside of the trunk line and hopefully u can close it with the bolts samely tighten
I bought the SARD spoiler for my MX5 ND also, despite hving to drill 8 holes on it, it turns out awesome! Did they give u any screw nuts for the bracket (the trunk part), and two pieces of metal/foam pads?
Glad it worked on the ND as well! I’m not 100% sure which screw nut for the bracket you’re referring to but it mine came with those 3 set screws on each bracket. It didn’t come with any foam pads tho.
I bought the item in the overview section, but when I tried to turn the bracket the other way, the screw holes didn't line up and I couldn't attach it. I think I bought a different one.
Is it not possible to swap the brackets over to the opposite sides rather than flipping them back to front? (Or does the hole spacing not allow for it?) 7:59

The wing stand bolts do leave some indentation underneath the trunk, where it’s clipped on.

Probably need 2 pieces half inch spacer for both side and trimming the side of the bracket as well.

This has convinced me just to buy a spare trunk lid from a wreck and drill it.
Would it be possible to lower the spoiler by cutting the stands?

it was like having a tooth removed watching this
Why not just get two custom made attachments to the wing ? Would look much better and fit more accurately.

Is this the same spoiler that carbon miata is selling for 499 usd?
I think so. I saw the pictures of the spoiler on their website and everything seems identical.
I really want this wing for my is350. I wonder if the frs ones fit because they’re so much more affordable 🤔
How has this wing held up? Any issues with your trunk flexing yet?
Holding up great. There’s no flex that I notice, probably because of the mounting point being on the side rather than in the middle.
Isnt the wing on backwards? Or is it just me....😢
Will still work with a Miata NB2?
yoooo W
I think its backwards

The only orientation is the one we ended up using. Otherwise, the holes did not line up with the bracket
Looks good
Do you know if this would fit the MR-S?
We’ve never test fitted it. The NC trunk measures 41-42.5 inches across, since it is curved
Where is the Asian guy with the F87 M2 Comp?
Who? 👀
NA can use?
Hey do you think it’ll fit an nd ?
The NC trunk measures 41-42.5 inches across.
Bought one for my ND, bracket doesn’t fit but can custom make one that fits. The boot of the ND is more narrow than the NB and 86(BrZ).
