Thank you for showing me how to drive a submarine. Yeah, these tutorials will help make a Sailor out of you. You should do more of these tutorials Off Grid.
I'm loving this. My grandparents house was full of everything submarine related. My maternal great grandfather an engineer and built submarine engines in both world wars. I think he worked for Vickers, then went to Rolls Royce. Funny thing is, he was a German, lol. But still leant his skills to the war effort, helping Britain and the allies.
@@OffGridArcade Awesome! I didn't realise that's what you did in the navy. Did you ever find the red October? Lol. I think we use the Poseidon here for that kind of job. What kind of plane did you fly in? That's great that your son followed in your footsteps and joined the navy. We have nuclear powered submarines here. No ships though. Not sure why we don't have nuclear powered aircraft carriers. I think the Dreadnought was one of the last submarines my great grandfather worked on before he retired. That was Britain's first nuclear submarine. Would've been back in the 60s.🤔
@TheRetroManRandySavage I flew in P-3 Orions. The P-8 Posidon replaced them when they retired the P-3s. I never tracked the Red October but we were flying on a different Soviet sub and the Dallas was following it. The Dallas lost contact and had to call us to find out where they were. This was about a year after the movie came out, so we had a good laugh about it 😂

Thank you for showing me I really needed to know how to work the engine

Nice! When I was in the Navy I hunted submarines from the air. My son went in the Navy after college and worked on the nuclear reactor on a submarine.

@@OffGridArcade how do you bring the compressed air up?
Do you got one on target distance and target speed. ?
Do you know how bring up the compressed air resservore?
There are pumps back in the aft torpedo room. One side had a diesel compressor and the other side is an electric one.
@@OffGridArcade Thank you!
