- In the age of mobile deposits, fraudsters can now take advantage of technology to try and cash the same check more than once.
Earlier this year, Elanor Bowen of St. Louis sent a $95 check to an out of state company after getting an official looking letter in the mail. She was trying to get her property deed but didn't know she did not need to pay that much for the document. She contacted her bank after she found out, but the check had already been cashed.
These types of comments are all scams too

I did it as a accident and I talked to the people at chase like literally the whole group there I came in there like I was turning myself in and they said it would be alright just don’t over use your money because it would go negative
I accidentally did it at my bank and the customer service said I committed fraud and forgery
How can you do it twice? The same check with the same numbers for the same amount?
You don’t go to jail
yes you do cashing the same check on mobile deposit will alert police an they will knock at your door
@@YoungboyTTsometimes the company or the bank will send you a letter telling you that you’ll have to pay the money back and they’ll give you options to collect the payment back if you don’t pay them back that’s when they send the cops after you
@@joshuanmartell8227 yea I know it happened to me before because I kept cashing the same check over an over made like 10k but had to pay it back
@@YoungboyTTsame but I didn’t went that far I only made it to 3,600$ 😂 and yea they’ll make you pay 💰
@@YoungboyTT I think it would depend on the amount. Some things are MISD some are Felonies. A MISD just pay fines.
Even today my 600$ lost
My bank will say check already cashed
What if you had two separate bank accounts and did this ?
1) Chase
2) Bank Of America
Bank isn’t dgaf
@@dizzydellz7438 OH my!! I guess the company would have to catch it and report it.
As a concerned viewer I would like to thank you for posting this HOW-TO video for potential con artists. Great public service. I'd like to know how many copy cats you helped commit fraud.
Shut up
