    Nice video! Five Below is a great place to find Pilates balls. They have three sizes for $5 each. Not a plug, just a tip if anyone is looking for a good source.

    Hi there. Thank you for the tutorial! It is amazing!!! Does this "recipe " work for winter? Do I need to store my spheres inside? I am in zone 5. Thank you.

    Thank you so much for this video! Excellent tips. The polymer is that the same as concrete adhesive that looks like glue?

    Love it! What type of sand do you use?

    • @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite
      @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Play sand for a smoother finish or construction sand for rougher finish. I sometime screen the sand for even smoother texture.

    Great video! I have a question though. You had 3 parts sand and 1 part cement in the mixing tub and only mixed up the cement part (I believe). When do you mix the sand in?

    I taped several size balls from yoga to a toddler soccer ball. The tape kept falling off with the initial slurry and made it nearly impossible to work on! So, just as that wonderful bucket of water advice was mentioned, I wish they would have addressed this problem. 😣UgH😣

    • @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite
      @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The tape I use is slightly tacky so it will hold if you constantly slightly overlap the tape. Was your tape tacky?

    Hi. if you don’t deflate the ball at the end of the process, would it damage the sphere?

    • @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite
      @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is my belief that in the summer it will expand with the heat and maybe be an issue but I have never tried it so I don’t really know.

    Did you make the second half of the video that you spoke about? Doing something different..

    • @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite
      @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I haven’t made another concrete orb video. Many others but that is pretty much the way I make them. It is up to you to make them better and share. I have made probably 50. Some as long ago as 15 years and they are still holding up. Haha. I sometimes add aging color. I sometimes use less polymer as they deters moss growth. But I pretty much make them the same way.

    Hi. Can you tell us what to paint concrete products that will be standing in the open air with? I would like to add that the concrete paints did not pass the exam. Regards - paw up.

      I have used Thompson’s water seal on concrete pot edges and some of my orbs. I don’t paint any so I am not sure about paint. Sorry that I don’t have a recommendation.

      I have made a dozen bigger spheres and have used old exterior house paint and it is holding up, plus it goes with the house nicely.

    Is it heavy or light enough for a hurricaine no damage??

    • @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite
      @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably not. They are pretty lightweight and would end up in another state. Strong winds here move them around but it isn’t a problem for me to put them back.

    Is that a child's play ball? What do you apply to the sphere after finished? On the large orb, how do patch the hole that is made to retrieve the yoga ball?

    • @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite
      @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes a child’s play ball. The larger orbs are on yoga balls. I don’t apply anything as I want it to age. Just a bit of concrete mixture would do but I don’t patch mine but place it on the bottom.

    • @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite
      @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just saw the question about the yoga ball. I don’t retrieve it. I just drill a hole and pop it but leave the deflated ball inside.

    • @rabbitprey

      You can use a concrete sealer, or just spray on an acrylic sealer, spray once a year.

    So, is so light that the wind will take it?

    • @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite

      No. They are pretty sturdy. I have some on top of urns on top of columns that got hit hard by tree branches during a storm that did topple but I wired them to the urns and have no problem since. Thanks for asking.

      @@DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite For the large ball, do you recommend applying the cement mix to the entire ball at once, or is it better to apply the mix first to the top half, wait a bit for it to dry, then flip the ball over and apply the mix to other half? Especially with a large ball, I'm wondering if the cement mix is cohesive enough to prevent it from just falling off the bottom half if you tried to apply the cement mix all at once.

    Polymer..you mean PVA glue?

    • @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite
      @DesignYourLifewithTerryWhite  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      No it a polymer specific to concrete. It is in the concrete section of your hardware store. Looks like milk and same consistency.
