I can see WG has an inspiration on turning Japanese heavies into an actual samurai. Cuz I think a true samurai does not need to be powerful, only skills make a real warrior :)
I dunno, i really loved the JU-NU. The armour is insane, it's downright stronger than everything beside ARL and can definitely compete against other stuff
As far i know and experience from played with Japanese tanks teammate. I realized that their armor is too weak against enemy. Japanese tank on the frontline is too risk, even though they hull down, their skinny turret still revealed, even they side scrape, still not bring too many chances to face off, but i still have my own respect to them, a great commander will bring a victory, no matter how their tank
