Kid Austin reminds me of an exciting junior middleweight from the 80s -: Davey Moore. Athletic, & with good powerful combos, but very raw defensively. Davey Moore never really solved his defensive issues, probably because he won a world title with that style, & thought he didn't have to add to his repertoire of skills. Hopefully Kid Austin understands his shortcomings & addresses them now, while he's on the way up. Once he reaches world-class level, it might be too late....
And him turning his back was terrible. He did it at least twice. He was looking for a break in the action and that's not how you do it. Definitely didn't like seeing that.
