    Excellent explanation!

    Thank you so much!

How do you call two different sub forms based on the value in the combo box? One value gives one sub form, the other values give you another (different) sub form.

thanks. just what i was looking for. i'm told that placing the combo box in the form header and the rest in the details section is the normal way. do you agree?

Thank you for your video and explanation. Well done :-) - It didn't work immediately for me. I managed to solve it going to properties of my form in Data tab; I've inserted name of the combo box for the link master fields and the name of primary key of the other table connected to the table of the combo box - I hope it could help

    Hi Leon, Quick Question...
lets say i have a table with has multiple product names repeated multiple times and i wrote a query to get the count of each product repeated.... how can i link that data to a list box or a combo box? been trying to figure that out but not able to do so... if i fetch the details from the main table its giving me alot of information which is not so much useful to me.. all i want is the count of each product repeated number of times... that has to be displayed in the subform.. is there a way to do so? please do reply on thiss

The thought I had was, use the query to group and extract the count with the ID in a list and then have the list box use the query results as the source (use the wizard). I hope this helps.

@@LeonMarsden as you said that got group using the ID... if i do that i get the all the product names again... but the question here to group the product names and get the count and then display that in another subform or in a list box

@@kgopikkk This looks out of my wheelhouse now as I think you are going to need to use some VBA to populate the other pulldown list. Regards LM

In which previous video did you create the Form, "sfrmStudentEnrollment"?

I did make a form and subform in this video: th-cam.com/video/dWNeBJD7fH8/w-d-xo.html
This tutorial is the best way to see how it works and then it follows onto the concept that you have looked at.
