    Thank you so much for your review, dik. I'm planning to go on weekday when cuti skolah is over hopefully tak crowded sangat. I'm gonna follow your itinerary

      Yes, best to go on weekdays! Check on Klook for offers and discounts (not sponsored, hahah)
      Kalau boleh breakfast awal and datang masa the theme park baru buka. Towards the evening tu beratur dia makan masa lebih lama dari tengahari even with the express lane. The park close around 6 or 7 so takut ada some rides you miss out on.
      There were 1 or 2 more we wanted to try out but didn’t manage to do so because the park was closing.

    THANK YOU FOR SUCH A STRAIGHT FORWARD AND HONEST REVIEW!!!! Appreciate both of you. Any idea that other than VQ, if they offer express pass?

      You're most welcome!
      There is a "VIP Experience" for Genting Skyworlds.
      It's a 3-hour, customizable and guided tour that will allow you to skip the queue for all of the rides you have arranged in advance. The price is higher but you'll get to go ride after rides without spending too much time standing in line.
      But if you ask me, come on weekdays - maybe a random day like Tuesday and the park should be somewhat empty and you get to spend the whole day exploring what the park has to offer. At least that won't break the bank like the VIP Experience might!

      Thanks for tuning in! Despite it being opened for about 2 years or more now, I'm still surprised there are some rides that remain "unfinished" even though there's no visible construction going on. Time at the park is also fairly limited (11AM to 6PM) so I thought it's better for those who have not went there to plan their schedule and skip rides that are not worth it.

    great video!! im going there this weekend, may I ask for the virtual queue did you have to do it individually on both phones or you can just queue using one phone?

    • @MeorHariz
      @MeorHariz  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you Christine!
      You will have to do the VQ on each phone, individually. This is because upon walking in to the park, there will be a prompt to assign your ticket to your Genting Skyworlds app.
      This can be a bit of a downside for children without phones but for adults - should be good. Just gotta make sure you have enough battery to survive a day there!

  • @CoveringContinents
    @CoveringContinents 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Does the admission ticket (156 RM) covers all attractions / rides inside the park or have to buy separately? And do we need to schedule each ride as per our arrival (something you mentioned VQ) would be great if you can elaborate it a bit.

    • @MeorHariz
      @MeorHariz  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      As far as I know, the admission ticket grants you access to all of the available attractions and rides within the theme park. You may start VQ-ing for rides immediately upon entering the gate. You will have to scan your ticket entry and then scan the Skyworlds app on your mobile device to link them together (will be done at the entrance).
      They might have changed things a bit as the website states that everyone is only entitled to 3 free VQs. Maybe they have started charging for additional VQs now(?)

    Why always Malaysian citizens really don't like a dark ride concept it's pretty cool with so much details inside and screen

    • @MeorHariz
      @MeorHariz  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Have you tried the one at Genting? Some of them were terribly executed. The ones done at USS and Disneyland are way better, unfortunately.

  • @77spens
    @77spens ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for the valuable info. Anyhow is it worth it the price considering the unpredictable weather, long ques and some of the rides might be close or maybe to be save just hop into indoor theme park? Your honest opinion because my family from Sabah are going there this saturday

    • @MeorHariz
      @MeorHariz  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If it's your first time visiting Genting, it's definitely worth to give it a try - at least once every 5-10 years. It isn't exactly big enough nor offer enough rides for you to "want" to return anytime soon after a visit. Book your tickets through services like Klook for a slightly cheaper rate and be sure to download / screenshot / save the ticket before you head there as the Internet connection at the theme park entrance is pretty bad so you might have trouble loading up the screen to scan your ticket.
      You can download the Genting Skyworlds app and view what are the rides available on the day of your visit as it shows them in real time.
      Using the Virtual Queue or VQ makes most queues instant especially at the earlier part of the day.
      The indoor theme park have less rides and no VQ so you might spend more time waiting for rides. On top of that, you will be paying per-ride for the indoor rides compared to paying a single price for all of the rides at the outdoor theme park.
      It has been raining daily for the past couple of days but I think it's not that bad that it will affect most rides. Be sure to bring a raincoat, just in case!

      Tqvm@@MeorHariz. Not my first time though. My last visit was in 2018. But now so many changes compare to my last visits.

      @@77spens That sounds reasonable. I think it’s worth to give it a revisit after 5 or so years. Have fun and stay safe!

    Do you know where from KL central do you get the bus to go to genting and the price please?

    • @MeorHariz
      @MeorHariz  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Look up "RedBus" website and select your Starting point, Destination, Onward Date and Return Date.
      They will offer you multiple bus companies with different departure time.
      Price is as low as RM10 for one-way. Some offer a rate of RM20 for bus fare + cable car ride to the top.
      Once you've made booking, they should provide details on where you should wait for the bus to arrive etc.

    Hi! Interesting video. It's so crowded. Were you there on a weekday or weekend?

    • @MeorHariz
      @MeorHariz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I came here on a Saturday hence the crowd. Poorly timed with tourist seaaon where some agencies were bringing in a crowd of tourists from other countries.
      If you could go on weekdays, the crowd will only be 10-15% of this!

    Can we bring water inside?

    • @MeorHariz
      @MeorHariz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you’re allowed to do so! We brought a couple of water bottles and stored it in my bag. Bags have to be secured in lockers located around the park in order to ride rides though.
      Opt for the option to rent a locker for the whole day instead of a one-time access so you can take water breaks in-between rides if you have to.
      Save yourself some $$$ from purchasing expensive drinks inside.

    • @MeorHariz
      @MeorHariz  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you book through Klook, you can get some discounts! We paid about RM135 or RM145 per-ticket for adults.

      May I know how many rides are open?
      Thanks

    • @MeorHariz
      @MeorHariz  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mojocute1585 About 13 rides in total (roller coaster, “screenplay” and other rides included) on a good weather with light drizzle towards the last hour of the park operating hours.
      The biggest let-down was Full Throttle Racing roller coaster ride that is located at the center as well as right at the entrance of the park - not operating on my visit. I have never seen anyone manage to ride this since forever too.
      Best to skip spinning rides and try to go for roller coaster rides as most of them are just the same rides but with different theme and skins.

      I use Simple micellar facial wash, Aiken moisturizer and 3W Clinic sunblock most of the time.
      Too much skincare products actually do more harm than good for my skin for some reason.

    Actually ... these new type of 4 d cinematic ride are not very worth it .. because they are kind of feel the same ... its just like in a show ..i still prefer traditional theme park ride...

    • @MeorHariz
      @MeorHariz  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree! The feeling is close to how we feel with how movies are made where CGI are being used in a lot of scenes - even the ones that could've been practical.
      It may be to reduce cost and use less real estate but I wish Genting had multiple different roller coasters that utilize the whole park rather than the same type of rides that are just "reskinned" to different themes.
