@@archersterling6726 Absolutely! But I would advise you to really get in practice mode before fighting anyone. Tekken has so many different mechanics to it that if you don’t know what you’re doing it goes downhill very fast.
@@archersterling6726 The feeling is very different, jumping is very limited, instead, you can side step to avoid attacks. That's why you no longer do the average Jumping attack > Crouching attack > Follow up in this game. Tekken is all about juggling.
These moves look almost exactly the same both in t7 and t8, so there's no point in doubting that this was indeed a real footage of the game (with some story mode features). Looks absolutely gorgeous, I can't wait to see more!
Except Kazuya's df2 in the T8 trailer looks like it's a high attack. You can see Jin has his head turned to the side while kneeling instead of holding his stomach while kneeling.

Personally I prefer the look and feel of Tag 2. T7 models look like plastic and oily. Some stages make them kinda fuzzy. But yeah T8 looks mind blowing.
From seeing the trailer, i hope we get more character introduction dialogs like mortal kombat or injustice. Just adds a bit more lore to the story instead of it just solely focusing on the kazamas. Like there still that beef between dragunov and raeven. Or the kings and marduk
TK never did anything to evolve on that front. Their battle intros in TK7 and SC6 are the same from the 00s. That idea was a big thing when it was introduced and popularized by TK and SC, but now even SF and other 2d fgs use the same idea. Now MK10 made a new revolution of gameplay presentation with its brand new battle intros. GG already took the idea, so there are currently two games in the market using an advanced model of battle intros. SF6 will use the same plain TK-style battle intros since SF4. And SNK games are using 90s style battle intros because they want to stay retro. So it's a good time for TK to bring something new. Not sure if the same MK battle intros or a little tweaked idea. But anyways something new.

They feel more impactful because they added a camera shake after each move, but I think most are amplified in the trailer and maybe the combo string around 0:28 is the most accurate. Tekken 7 also has screen shake + shockwave effect on some specific moves and occasions as u can see at 1:10, I wonder if adding that on every move isnt gonna be too much in the long run tho

They probably want to cut down on the roster this time to make it more accessible for new players so I wouldn't be surprised if DJ becomes a rage drive transformation for Jin that gives him a few Mishima moves. I bet Kazuya will get a lot of Heihachi's and Devil Jin's old moves.
in the Tekken 7 story mode, when Jin comes back in the end, it shows pretty much exactly that he can control it. I'm honestly not surprised, it was even an expectation for me
It would be cool if there was a feature were mini-slowdowns when u successfully crush an attack, like using an orbital over a low or a high crushing attack counter hit, kinda like in the trailer when Kazuya does uf3
it looks like there is a slowdown when Jin whiffs electric, maybe a 'perfect' backdash or sidestep that avoids an attack when you would have been hit otherwise would trigger it? Would really help incentivize movement and make it feel godlike when you dodge stuff
Either these are all scenes from a cutscene in the story mode, or Tekken 8 will have character specific intros that look like cutscenes, and maybe even change some iconic moves to be more cinematic if the round wins or another condition is met. Either way, this game looks like it's going to be incredible! Also at 0:35 that looks like it could be either a new dodge for Kazuya or maybe a new universal dodge mechanic!
Tekken 7 felt lifeless, with the bare bones customization, the less memorable stages, characters not even talking to each other in their intro, the gameplay was it's saving grace. The other Tekkens, especially 3, were oozing with character.
Interesting to see all the extra pushback on block from Kaz's ff+3 and Jin's 2,1,4. It almost seems like they trying to de-emphasize mixups and return players back to neutral more often, and I guess that could work since T7 is so mixup heavy, which isn't very friendly to newcomers. I honestly don't see how a character like Kaz can work without the vortex, though, or why Jin would need that much pushback on his strings. It also looks like movement might be improved when Kazuya backdashes to force Jin's EWHF to whiff, I would be super happy if we got strong movement back like it was in T6/Tag 2. As long as Lee, Steve, and Paul are in I'll be happy. I'm praying for Steve to be top tier, like the good old days of T6.
If you notice in Tekken 8 when they get staggered back they stumble backwards with back steps on the ground that match the character travel. Just spectacular!
Man, i really hope they implement something like the power up punch or attack that Kazuya does(on other characters too ofc), i wanna see something similar where we can see the power up of the bicep for a split second, that shit has so much impact omg.
I've been thinking "what if they remove DJ from T8 and give Jin a Devil Transformation like Kazuya" but then I thought that would either overhaul Jin's entire kit or give him a watered down version of DJ's kit but for this it would be best if they give Jin an actual omen stance

To be fair, 8 seemed like it was for a cinematic kind of affect with its teaser (announcement?) trailer, so there's no telling if the in-game effects and camera-shot works will end up like this in the final product but I'd be just fine with the rain/weather, light, shadow, and attack special effects even if the close up shots aren't included.
I remember the MGS3 trailer and being blown away by how you could actually do the things within the game. The trailer was shot like a movie but the gameplay was real! Love trailers like this.

I want cheaters, plugger in mid match to be pubished, useless cheese knowledge checks to be removed, devevlopers shouldn't let people rank up by relying on gimmicky flowcharts. evasive bs should be special mid, it shouldn't launch those that block low and they should have same risk/reward and no bs follow up or stance transitions. So DJ's u4 should be always launch punishable not just a float combo, same for asuka's b3. Also all character should have a decent low hitting mid, like Miguel, I think he only has d3+4 which is -15 iirc. Remove Jin and DJ low launcher or give them even crap range. Outside of gameplay: I don't need it, but it would be better if devevlopers try to help more beginners Better customization More and better storylines, details like personal and skippable(by both) cutscene between character before after match and even in the middie(just conversation) Rage art skippable by both, even better if it can be used only in combos No broken launch or dlc characters Possibility to lab dlc characters without paying
They Never failed to improve after the next game, it keeps getting better and better! I hope they showcase the storylines of every character though and not only focusing on the bloodline
i feel like tekken 7 was a blip in the series when it came to how the game looked (very cartoony). I always associated tekken with looking amazing for the time it was released, and this feels like a triumphant return to form.
It is kind of funny how the characters are less shiny in the trailer than in tekken 7 even tho they're standing in the middle of a storm. T7 really was an old ass UE4 game.
That maybe not really new move, instead just cinematic. With this level of graphic and transitioning, we can't even say which part is cinematic or not. So good.
Aside from the new animation, it looks like either Kazuya d/f 2 is still a mid (Jin's CDs 1 usually crushed high moves, so it's not a high), with new CH properties or that the CH properties actually vary according to where the attack lands (Jin's head got hit, so it does that stun, etc.).

The final confrontation music from T7 and Electric Fountain are both God tier tracks for Tekken fans. Neither are from T3.

as far as i saw,there were dead bodies around jin and kazuya and a massive ship like thing behind them,the tekken force under lars and jin are at war with the mishima zaibatsu and g corp? Its clear that kazuya is the winnerof tekken 7 since he killed heihachi and now the mishima zaibatsu must be on his side right? also seeing as to how he voved to destroy the zaibatsu,maybe the zaibatsu soilders and infrastructure was rebranded as that of g corp,now the world is still at war as seen from the trailer,maybe this is an island where a brutal battel is taking place.let me know what you guys think

I want cheaters, plugger in mid match to be pubished, useless cheese knowledge checks to be removed, devevlopers shouldn't let people rank up by relying on gimmicky flowcharts. evasive bs should be special mid, it shouldn't launch those that block low and they should have same risk/reward and no bs follow up or stance transitions. So DJ's u4 should be always launch punishable not just a float combo, same for asuka's b3. Also all character should have a decent low hitting mid, like Miguel, I think he only has d3+4 which is -15 iirc.
Remove Jin and DJ low launcher or give them even crap range.
Outside of gameplay:
I don't need it, but it would be better if devevlopers try to help more beginners
Better customization
More and better storylines, details like personal and skippable(by both) cutscene between character before after match and even in the middie(just conversation)
Rage art skippable by both, even better if it can be used only in combos
No broken launch or dlc characters
Possibility to lab dlc characters without paying

i feel like tekken 7 was a blip in the series when it came to how the game looked (very cartoony). I always associated tekken with looking amazing for the time it was released, and this feels like a triumphant return to form.

It is kind of funny how the characters are less shiny in the trailer than in tekken 7 even tho they're standing in the middle of a storm. T7 really was an old ass UE4 game.
That maybe not really new move, instead just cinematic. With this level of graphic and transitioning, we can't even say which part is cinematic or not. So good.

Aside from the new animation, it looks like either Kazuya d/f 2 is still a mid (Jin's CDs 1 usually crushed high moves, so it's not a high), with new CH properties or that the CH properties actually vary according to where the attack lands (Jin's head got hit, so it does that stun, etc.).
