The people of Mexico make anyone fall in love with them and it seems that Trevor is very comfortable and happy with Diablos. I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed for another season. He's a guy who makes himself loved and contributes a lot to the team and also benefits from his teammates. He's made a great couple with his catcher and coach Espinoza!
I'd have a contract clause he isn't allowed to post or talk to other players. That would make it ok, though he'd probably still find a way to be terminally annoying anyway lol
You know, something about you doing this is ultimate accountability for your actions on the mound. You literally explain every thought you had during the game. Imagine guys who have bad games explaing why they gave up 5 runs in an inning or why they threw a fastball down the middle with bases loaded. Nobody would do that except Trevor. We need you back in the MLB. You should have never left but we need you back. Your professionalism is literally at a higher level than the MLB. Look at Shoei and the gambling saga. That could never happen to Trevor because he video tapes his life and posts it online. Thank you for being a pioneer in sports vlogging. Because of what you are teaching in these videos, we will have an entire generation of kids that will be better off and more prepared.
I am an HS umpire. Last night I had a kid pitching who had the other team completely confused. Not over powering but pitching with a purpose. His last time pitching I met him at the mound and ask him where he learned his pitch sequences..... "Trevor Bauer TH-cam". I said....I knew it. Told him to keep it up.

Used to follow the game years ago; not going to go into the manifold reasons I no longer do… but to be honest, I only know who you are because of the travesty that happened to you a while back. You seem like a decent enough guy, but having seen a bit more, I find your dedication to the game, and your honor admirable. That’s the backstory. Is it just me, but are Trevor and his catcher on the same page and total studs on the field? Those 2 should be rocking hall of fame careers right now but I appreciate his catcher so much. Trevor is a beast but when you put this catcher with him he’s incredible. I had lost interest in baseball and haven’t see an MLB game since 1999 I played school, park and rec, junior legion, American legion and CC baseball. Trevor has brought me back around to baseball but I still won’t watch the MLB tho
It isn't a lack of communication to teams that is keeping Trevor in Mexico. It's the clear lack of balls by the owners and effing Manfred as to why no one has brought Bauer back home to MLB (specifically to the Texas Rangers if the baseball gods like me).
I always did find it noteworthy that I only ever saw one person actually quoted as saying that. There may very well have been more that I didn't see, but just about everything I saw was "sports journalists" quoting unnamed sources trying to make a pattern out of something that very well could have just been one guy who didn't like Trevor for whatever reason. When several people are willing to come out publicly and say positive things, and next to no one says anything negative publicly, it paints a pretty clear picture in my mind. That picture was confirmed after seeing Bauer last year in Japan and especially this season with how much of his interaction with the team is being filmed.
"1st pitches in the strike zone only go for hits about 4% of the time, so I'm just playing the percentages." This is my dog right here. And what a marketer this guy is. Brilliant- t-shirts on all his sayings, sword, doors, etc. Excellent marketing. The opposing teams are doing sword, together in a line. Hilarious. Genius marketing. Are you kidding me?

I've never been a big baseball guy... I grew up playing hockey, eventually playing collegiate hockey and I always struggled acclimating to the speed of the game (even though we had a great team at CSUF). It is 100% your content that has gotten me much more into baseball. Aside from pure entertainment value, as a mental performance coach for motorsport athletes your videos are absolute gold in terms of an insight into the mindset & approach of an elite athlete... appreciate all you do and your passion for the game despite what you've gone through is inspiring. Trevor thank you for making these videos. I've been a baseball fan since i was kid. There is so much info and soo many stats. I find it all interesting, but understanding pitching from just the numbers is impossible. Having you explain what you're throwing and why, seeing the pitch, and the result makes it so much easier to really take in and learn from.
these teams are clearly watching your videos bc of that whole bunt thing. It seems to throw you off (not being insulting but you commented about it a few videos ago)
The pitch to the second hitter was a strike, but the catcher's glove moved toward the outside of the zone and then moved down and may have given the umpire the impression it was high or outside. This is why I don't call moving a glove that just caught the ball "framing". As a catcher framing to me is more about how you catch the ball in the glove and the impression of where it is caught by body positioning as it enters the glove instead of trying to fool them by quickly moving the glove.
That cutter was a strike but umpires almost rarely call a perfect game. I think the standard is like 95%? So it's expected they'll miss 5 calls per outing. It is what it is. Sucks it was on a 3-2 count. If I were an ump I'd favor the pitcher, gatta swing on 3-2 when it's that close. Little league fundamentals there

these teams are clearly watching your videos bc of that whole bunt thing. It seems to throw you off (not being insulting but you commented about it a few videos ago)
The pitch to the second hitter was a strike, but the catcher's glove moved toward the outside of the zone and then moved down and may have given the umpire the impression it was high or outside. This is why I don't call moving a glove that just caught the ball "framing". As a catcher framing to me is more about how you catch the ball in the glove and the impression of where it is caught by body positioning as it enters the glove instead of trying to fool them by quickly moving the glove.
That cutter was a strike but umpires almost rarely call a perfect game. I think the standard is like 95%? So it's expected they'll miss 5 calls per outing. It is what it is. Sucks it was on a 3-2 count. If I were an ump I'd favor the pitcher, gatta swing on 3-2 when it's that close. Little league fundamentals there
