- Today it is our 20th Anniversary, married for 20 years!!! So we parked our self built #campervan on #Kijal Beach in Terengganu and got stuck because we wanted to park closer to the ocean!! The reality of Van Life - everyday is not a picture perfect postcard.

Get bigger all terrain tires, give your van a 2 inch lift and a front winch.
Great advice thank you!!! :)
Congratulations on you anniversary. Wishing you many many more to come and your future road trip to England.
Thank you truno cheah 💚☺
Happy Annivesary! 😘
Thank You Sharon.
The beach was saying "You can't go. You must stay at this beautiful place forever!" Geez though, that looked stressful! Happy you found your way out of it with no damage or injuries. Cheers to the helpful strangers!
Yes we heard its calling, "come closer.... commmeeee closerrrrrr...." and suddenly all I could hear was the spinning tyres in sand!!! LOL
Owwww! How sweet for that 2 new friends! Cool
when ever in sandy country let your tyres down to 15-18 psi if all ready stuck you can go as low as 10. But pump them up again before driving on roads, this all so works on rocks and loose gravel. cheers
And that's all 4 tyres, obviously remember to drive carefully as your effectively driving on flat tyres.
1jeepinray thank you for the useful information given here. Will need to practice this. 😊
Cool van. You do realize of course you are driving on wrong side of road! ;)
LOL Malaysia is same as the UK as our country once was colonized by Britain.
Campervan Kevin hahaha Kevin I was saying the same thing too!
this happened to us too in PD! and we had an excavator come to pull us out! bahahaha!!
Lucky there was an excavator just hanging about near you guys!! LOL
beautiful place and I like your van, new sub here
HI Thank You will follow back. Cheers!!
First! Yay!!! :)
Thank You!!! :)
In future if you got stuck in the sands or mud, don't force it because you will digging it deeper; instead you should put in the lowest gear, let off the breaks and slightly step on the gas to see if it you unstuck, put it in reverse and step on gas lightly only; repeatedly the same process for couple of times and it should get you out/unstuck. I hope it helps! Enjoy your travels

noted 😂
u can try to lower rear tyre preasure from 30psi to 20.also u can try bucket of water..but i dont think its ever working for small tyre
if u cannot buy electric winch consider buying hand crank winch pulley 4 ton.only cost myr100
I always dream to have a camper, you guys are motivating me! hope i'll get 1 soon!
Do it!! Being out in Mother Nature has really cure many of our ailments in life. We recommend it to everyone even if it's for just a weekend. It's worth it. :)
Danger...When doing recovery, no one should be around the snatch rope/strap.... If the rope snap, it can kill anyone withing the diameter of the rope/strap.....
Omg thank you for the tip!!! Lucky nothing happened.
Trials of vanlife but definitely an experience! *Long comment incoming...*
I was lucky that TH-cam listed your videos in the "Recommended" or otherwise I would've never known. Literally you guys are an inspiration for me, and your videos have helped to answer the burning question on heat and reflectix. I've followed a lot of van lifers but they're either US or UK so geographical climate and electrical systems is a little different. I've just watched all your videos and reading up your site and just followed your FB page. I've been interested in minimalism and vanlife for a while now but it's much easier to understand now that you guys have this channel.
If you guys do visit Sarawak, maybe we can meet up and talk and I can show you guys around!
HI Nichcolas Jeffrey, thank you for the follow. Yes the reflectix has made a difference in temperature but parking under shade is still important. We don't mount our solar panel to the roof of the van like most americans and europeans because in Asia we can't park under the sun. Our solar panel is in the van and once we're parked we place it under the sun to charge our Goal Zero Yeti 400 which we then use for the fans inside the van.
Would love to visit Sarawak but with dogs and our Van maybe a little difficult to cross the ocean. Will you be getting a Van too?
Yup! At first I was thinking of the Nissan NV200 but it might be too small for me. The other vans I'm looking into is the high-roof Toyota Hiace, and the Ford Transit, though the Hiace seems to be the better choice in terms of servicability and parts availability.
Yeah we hope to get the Hiace too.
Great we look forward to your sharing of build. :) Stay in touch
So you made some new friends! There's always a bright side.
Yes, although stressful when going through it, turned out good in the end. Teaches us that there are plenty of kindness still in our world. :)
Thanks for sharing...do we need a permit from jpj for campervan convertion or just ordinary licence
Hi Suria, if you join the My Camoervan Malaysia group in Facebook you will be able to ask the individuals inside there regarding this. We maintained our Van's original seating.
24 Hour Travellers tq...u really motivated me
HI Suriatina thank you for your support. How did this particular video motivate you?
