I want to apologize in advance for some coughing in this video. I was just getting over C19 when I recorded it and was able to cut most of it out but at least one got through while I was speaking. At 32:21 I illegally flipped down to Alter-Ego. I'd done SO MUCH stuff that phase that I forgot that I started it in Alter-Ego, and only noticed that I'd done so after editing (right before uploading). I wish I'd put a card draw counter in this video. It drew 46 cards during the playthrough, 50 if you count Annabelle Riggs as "card draw"!
I love this so much. Valk is very limited in many ways, but when she works I thinks she’s one of the most fun heroes in the game. You just really have to put her in the right place for solo, and it doesn’t get any better than this!
@ hahahaa yeahhh, some of those were hard to come by and War Machine was my trickiest one. Honestly Ultron could’ve been the PM for like 5 heroes lol but I wanted as much variety as possible
@@GetUpandGame yeah I was thinking about doing a similar PM list but it was pretty daunting! I do agree that War Machine has a good matchup with Ultron too though, so my next Ultron video will feature War Machine :)
You did the setup correctly. Cards with the “Permanent” keyword are set aside at the very beginning of setup (shown in the entry for Permanent in the RRG 1.6). Deathglow doesn’t have that keyword (Wolverine’s Claws do have the permanent keyword)

It's actually one of those ones where I think they made a meal of the card! Thematically, it should ne no different to Vision's or Shadowcats upgrade....as it's intrinsic to Valkyrie....the designers have gone on record to say that despite the wording and the rules, you can just set Deathglow aside at the very beginning of setup...! One of those inconsistencies in the game...but it makes more sense...same goes for Rogue's Touched, and why essentially they changed Wolverine's Claws...

There are so many ambiguities in the game and I really dislike the "it doesn't matter what the card or rules say, we just put it down in playtesting anyway" response from FFG. That's one of the functions of playtesting IMO: "Hey this doesn't quite work with rules as written, consider rewording this text". BUT, it certainly doesn't prevent me from having fun with the game LOL
@@solomarvelchampion yeah sometimes it amazes me that they correct stuff in the R&R but don't fix other things...but as you say...I still love the game!! Best thing since sliced bread hahaha
She is really fun when she gets to do her thing! The reason I don't do this tailoring to suit my hero (or challenge of the week stuff) is not because I disapprove but because I can't be bothered to remake decks. I want ones I can play over & over vs different things, or even the same things if I find them fun enough. Given I play online mostly now I should maybe try it some more :)
Yeah she kills it when she gets to do what she wants to do LOL. I can understand your thinking. I (and others I'd think) just do it to because I love building decks. And tbh I don't want one deck that can crush everything because it would be boring (for me) to only ever play the same way all the time.
@OresteGamba I almost published it as 42! I cut Chase them Down to 1 copy because I was always getting it when I didn't really need it. With only one copy I'm usually happy to see it because I get it when I need it!
@OresteGamba I've done that with Hawkeye. I had the deck build video and a "tweaking" video after I'd played him a bunch. But the next time I do a specific build (and I have one coming up for a subscriber challenge) I'll do that again!
I've been trying really hard to show my hand on-screen. I don't really want to zoom out because I like being able to read the cards on-screen, but I'll experiment with how much I can zoom out and see if I can find a happy compromise!
I mean I'd love to do that but I can't because my internet is garbage. I can't even take a zoom call from work without it crapping out. One of the reasons I hate making long videos is because the upload takes FOR-E-VER. I started an upload at 9:00 PM once and when I checked on it at 1:00 AM it was only 80-something percent finished :(. BUT there's talk of AT&T fiber coming through this area, so if that ever happens I'd definitely be down to game! My wife loves Marvel but has no interest in playing this (or Arkham Horror, or Lord of the Rings) with me LOL

GG! I had no idea Valk's threat mitigation was so good! I think Flight of the Valkyrior is pronounced like "interior". Flight of the Valk"erior" haha.
