Hi Kevin, this is a random question but I am supposed to be doing a work exchange at the Rock Bar in a few months... was doing some research on it to learn more. Did the bar eventually open up or did it seem abandoned to you? I saw another youtube video that said it looked abandoned as well!

Hi Faith. Thanks for reaching out. I was on Koh Phayam in early to mid December 2023, and at that point the bar was certainly open and in full flight. Great spot for sunset drinks. There is a Koh Phayam Facebook community pages which may help you keep updated with local changes or clarify any pressing queries you may have. Have fun. It's truly a great island.

What this video is lacking, Kevin, is some useful information about prices, cost of living😏

Thanks for the feedback Jan. Added the modest cost of the bungalow where I stayed in the description comments. Cost of living on Koh Phayam can vary from person to person, but generally I found it relatively inexpensive for food and accommodation, however prices at high end resorts, which is at the other end of the spectrum for me, would be much higher. Cheers, Kevin.

Thanks Kevin! (I did not read the "description comment")😏
I"m thinking about living in Koh Payam, permanently.
      Have a nice day💖

We will be going there tomorrow. I've lived in Thailand (Bangkok) for over 21 years and I had never heard of Koh Phayam until a few months back. We'll be staying there for 2 weeks. Can't wait.

Hi Cornelis. 👋 I think you'll love Koh Phayam. I'm looking forward to going back later this year when I also intend to check out the neighbouring island of Koh Chang (Ranong), for which there is scarcely any info on the web. Have a great time. Cheers.

Hi Cornelis. How was your experience on Koh Phayam last April? I went back last month and had another blast. This time I also checked out neighbouring Koh Chang which was quite a unique experience. I have some footage on discoveries there that I plan on sharing soon.
