Thanks, Bought the car, 2000 Clk 320, with only one key fob. My son closed the trunk with key inside and the doors were locked. He was at school. AAA got inside the car, but could not open the trunk. Mercedes anti-theft system. Called AAA locksmith. The locksmith tried and failed. After four hours of AAA service, we towed the car home. Saw your video, two minutes later BAM!!! Trunk is open.
Actually you can remove the black cover that holds the tag lights. Remove the left tag light assembly. If you have long enough fingers, reach in, up and towards the lock. Feel the cable. Pull the cable towards the left side. It may take a little pulling power but it’s better than drilling into your car.
On my 2004 CLK500 you just have to insert the physical key rest in you key fob into the trunk lock and turn clockwise and press the trunk lever. It will open like a charm. Guys, read you car manual. Best!
Thanks BigDawg ur video saved my a$$ when tried opening trunk to get tools to work but was FKD diddnt pop open so followed the technic & was able to be wrkng b4 boss man rolled up 💩✌🏽
Hi, came across your video whilst trying to open a customers clk boot. Sussed it! When the car hasn’t run for a while the vacuum disappears out of the central locking system, rendering the boot lock locked. You need to start the engine, providing your vacuum pipes are connected the lock will come back to life. Well worth trying before cutting holes!
You didn’t need to drill hole. You could have remove one of the light covers above the license plate and , unscrewed the two screws holding the light,. Then insert your finger and pull down on the iron wire attached to the latch. The trunk will pop open.
Hopefully you respond soon because I’m banking completely on your advice. I got to where I removed the light and I can’t feel/find the iron wire, am I looking in the wrong place?
@@Mitoryn the wire is on the upper left side. sometimes to reach it you need to use a pick with a hook, they sell them at auto zone store. Be careful not to pull any electric wires, and not to cut your fingers.
Stop that before u ruined .pulled down the passenger seat and go inside the trunk them u can used a 10mm tools and remove two screws and the trunk will be open !
There is a CAGE keeping any human body from going through. I hate when dumb people don't know what's going on. The only way you're getting through the truck is through drilling through it or breaking something cutting out the cage where the two little seats are in the back, if you take the two little seeds off in the back on that specific car there is a freaking metal cage

Thank you for your help
did you fix the lock? can you replace it and still use the same key?

what is your problem exactly., and which car and model?.

Not on this model
Is it the same for clk w209 the next generation?
This will probably have to be done on my 97 300e.

Can you remove the seats with the boot locked? Where abouts are the bolts?

Does this work on clk 200
Actually there is a better solution. You have to smash the right backlight for that
the vacuum trick doesnt work for me! i dont know what to do !
Seriously!!!!!!!??????
