Any issue with cracking due to the resin on older paintings using this product exclusively?

Thanks for your video it was very informative…I thought it would have been nice to see a finished piece of art using these paints…they look amazing to use:)

The artwork 10 minutes into the film is a finished work. It can also be seen at www.suzimorrisart.com/works#/bioinformatics along with all my other pieces which use MUSSINI oil colours. My painting process involves gradually building several layers of MUSSINI and because drying takes time between layers it's not possible for me to complete a painting in a short space of time. Of course, you can use MUSSINI oil colours in one sitting if you wanted to and they can also be mixed with other paints. I hope this helps.

I have seen comments like "the resin oils also have the advantage of even drying" and "the even drying property is a unique one".
    What does "even drying" mean?

Hi there, thank you for your question.
So in terms of Schmincke's Mussini Resin Oil colours, the balanced or 'even' drying which is obtained through oxygen absorption and solvent release, ensures a tension-free build-up and better drying in the depth of the painting layer. This is important for a stable, elastic, and resilient painting layer to avoid possible cracks and to obtain even surfaces.
We hope this helps answer your question, all the best,
      the Jackson's team.
