@Moreen Foe good reason. Poor guy has to deal with our beloved Gremlin child on a regular basis. Luckily he loves him so that probably both makes him worry more but makes it feel all the better when he gets to keep him safe.
@Moreen And it's beautiful. Watching those tiny little changes in tone or expression with him is probably one of my favorite things about all the adaptions of the story. Its like if you didn't know anything about him he'd just look and sound bored and dead inside all the time but we all look at him and are just like "Noooo he's so sad Wei Ying stop you're worrying your husband!" Or "Oh my gosh look how happy he is when he looks at him!" While dying from the tender tone of voice. Meanwhile if I showed those things to any of my friends without context they would just be Very confused as to why I'm dying in the corner.

i also think he was in denial. that he didn't believe lan zhan could be showing affection for him in that way and became suspicious, especially at the end of the sunshot campaign when he mistook lan zhan's offer to help as a threat of locking him up in the cloud recesses.

@Χρυσή Πετρίδου also Wei Wuxian always assumed that Han Guangjun hated him (even Hang Guangjun had said it himself 13 years ago), which makes him hesitant to show his love to Han Huangjun.
Since this is a novel, we might think wei ying is a bit dense since we can read what happened. However if this is a real life, I won't blame him. Since Lan Zhan's lack of words and how he reacts in the beginning, even I will be confused. Not to mention the come back to Gusu without any explanation. So I don't blame Wei Ying for not being able to know. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Wei Wuxian was (likely) trying to hide his identity, hence the reason why he attempted multiple times to escape the Cloud Recesses and while they were traveling together, so that he would not be found out ( only for it to backfire each time🤣). His reputation was already bad as it is, and at the start there, he was under the impression that Lan Wangji still hated and despised him ( which far From that.) He also tried to push Lan Wangji away, so that he would not "taint" him with his already shattered reputation.
So, in short, Wei Wuxian was trying to hide his presence from Others, including Lan Wangji.
( Lan Wangji knew who "Mo Xuanyu" really was from the beginning.)

Maybe songs stucks different because it's not actively thinking and music brings out emotions. So he maybe felt a feeling first and then remembered the song. Idk.
LWZ sings the song in the cave but WWX dies several years later. During this time, he plays the song several times and has got it so ingrained in his memory/subconcious that he plays in his next life too

when you think about how much lan zhan grieved after wwx's death during the first siege, this moment feels so much more special . . . god how happy would he have felt in that moment knowing the one he loved was finally back again and they could have a second chance to make amends
This scene isn't like this in the novel Right ( I don't remember but I think there are some minor changes here in the audio )...this is so good..I know at 1:42 everyone's heart skipped a beat...💕Lan Zhan...Wei ying would remember everything...after all he loves you 😭😭

At 0:57 the captions are inaccurate. 😅😅 When he said 'Dan xi er yi," this actually translates to: "I'm just worried." And Wei Ying replies, 'Dan xi ye bu xing," which translates to: "That's no excuse," or, at least, that's how I'd translate it. Word for word tho, it would be, "Being worried is not acceptable," but that's a little weird to say aloud 😂

Actually, it is accurate. Dan means single, xi refers to the knee. LZ knelt on one knee to check the curse mark.

I just feel he speaks a bit too fast for Lan Zhan in the audio-drama.
If I'm not mistaken they used the same voice over people, both for the live actions drama and the audio drama...I may be wrong though...I stand corrected...
I've looked it up. They mixed it up a bit. This Lan Zhan is a different one from the donghua and live-action drama, but this Wei Wuxian is the same as the live-action drama, but different from the dongjua. The voice actors in the three different productions are:

I believe the offered for Wang Yibo to voice Lan Zhan as well as play him in the live action drama, but he refused because he was worried he would not do a good enough job.
In the audio drama, the voice actors can do their own thing, according to how they see the characters and the scenes. In the live-action drama, the voice actors have to match how they play the voices to how the actors play the characters and speak on screen - even the exact speed at which the actors say things, so that the words match up with the actors' lip movements.
In the donghua, I don't know which way it works. I don't know if the animation is done to match the voices, or if the voices have to match the animation. Anyone know?

Why did wuxian pretend to be mo when he was with zhan?
I suggest you read the novel. But if you don’t want to, I'll explain it here. It turns out that Wei Ying never fainted and woke up in Lan Zhan's room as happened in the series. What you hear in this video is what happened in the actual novel (ignoring some small details that change, but almost nothing). Due to Wei Wuxian's bad reputation, he knew it was inconvenient to reveal his identity. And his bad memory made him believe that Lan Zhan would also be against him if he recognized him. So he kept pretending to be Mo Xuanyu in front of everyone including Lan Zhan, and even pretending that Mo was romantically interested in Lan Zhan (since the lunatic Mo Xuanyu was known to be gay too. Something they don't say in the series either). This is why he constantly harassed Lan Zhan so that Lan Zhan would lose his patience and let him go, but Lan Zhan instead of feeling harassed, he took him to the Cloud Recesses and kept him with him no matter how many times Wei Ying harassed him. Wei Ying didn't understand why Lan Zhan wasn't intimidated by being harassed by him, until this scene, where he learns that Lan Zhan always knew that he was Wei Ying from day one.
