I have all those lights on. They came on when my emergency fell apart. I went last week and had the ebrake system replaced plus new rotors. I asked them if the lights went out? He said no, you have a bad abs sensor on the back left. He said they were going to just try and replace it for me, but the bolt snapped off and I think he said the extractor tool snapped off too. So he said they just decided to leave it alone. He said the 4×4 light didn't have anything to do with it, which after reading a bunch of posts, I know is not true. Anyway, what should I do about getting that sensor out? Should I just check around at other shops? It's so hard to know who to trust and I don't want anything tore up worse. Thanks.

Like you, I'm not a professional mechanic but I have always worked on my own vehicles. Learned a lot as a kid from my father. However, that was at a time when auto design was pretty basic, straight forward and no computer components. That said, I've acquired over the years a modest amount of tools. The BEST tool by far has become youTube. It just requires time to find a video that is well created. Yours is one of those EXCELLENT ones. Well filmed, well explained!
I have the same indicator lights all going off at the same time (2012 RAM 2500 4x4). The lesser OBDII scan tool I own does indicate wheel speed sensor. I did a little rough driving through some snow while hauling my fifth, got stuck, shifted between 4-low and 4-high, reversing and forward, etc to get traction. It was at that time the same lights as you had, allcame on my dash. I'm going to first check my connections before ordering a new speed sensor. It might be the wiring or connection broke free.
But thank you, thank you for producing a well explained quality video! I'm now a subscriber. You are an important tool in my tool box 😉

Wonder if hosing down a wet speed sensor with that magic elixir, brake kleen, would help you when you need it most? Great comment from you.

Good job Sir !! Just one small suggestion, floor jacks and jackstands on dirt and grass is a recipe for disaster. maybe i missed you putting a plate or buffer down and if so I apologize.

Great explanation using your natural talent at explaining stuff. Superior coordination of the steps to take in planning the diagnosis; very helpful to speed up & slow down spinning the lug and other nuts on as you work, and for $15 the new part works. Using the proper torque wrench is critical, but all you need is an economical one. i've been chasing a similar ABS, etc. wiring problem in the ABS circuits of my 2010 FORD Expedition, and this shows me it can be done. Those with a 2010 FORD can put off the diagnosis by taking a cold engine, key-in, the turn it to the dash lights up 3 separate times, then go to key off, then crank it up.
Usually get a week that way, but wet roads prevent temporary success. Some use 5 key ons-turn offs, but 3 works for me. Great job on a well-maintained RAM pickup in this excellent video.

I think, and this is from my experience with an ongoing issue, is the wheel speed sensors allow the ABS to function properly. If left it can lead to the brakes locking up as the ABS thinks the car is skidding/losing traction which could be annoying at speed if that happens like it happened to me.

You will have all of the ABS and traction control warning lights on, as well as the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and BAS (Brake Assist System) warnings.
I've read various things, but all seem to agree that your ABS system will be out of service, your Traction Control system will be out of service, and your Cruise Control will not work.
If you were to be involved in a serious enough accident that investigators pulled the trouble codes from the computer, it would be immediately obvious that you were operating the vehicle with compromised safety systems, possibly making you 100% liable for the accident regardless of who was at fault.

Thankyou sir for the time and patience . Very thurough. Ive always said; " We all have devices in our hands, that give us the information/knowledge to do , build, and fix whatever we please , and there is no need for guessing anymore." Why should we GUESS about solutions, when people on youtube(yourself) give us EXACT solutions, backed by informed knowledge, with no guessing involved? Lol. Wish you and yours well. Peace

Thank you so much. You are a technician. My lights came up after I went through a water puddle and I hit a palm branch . Within seconds abs , eps and tracking lights came up . I drove home without no issue. I use a small professional scan tool. Auto link AL 329. Unfortunately is not reading any codes. The rear tracking sensor cable was hanging . I hope I can repair it.
