Yea if i were him I wouldnt be selling this stuff. Maybe some dupes. But if i still had my collection from when i was a kid that would be the only stuff i would of never got rid of. Even the shadowless charizards I had and every holo made up to legendary collection set.
There's money there no doubt. One high grade can swing value immensely, but all that takes additional expense and vetting the cards worth grading. I'd say the collection is probably worth around 25-30k, 12-15k short sell, but if you took the time to grade vintage $100+ mints or better you could squeeze 35-45k out of everything

I like these videos by Leonhart the most. Nothing over the top, but a dude who is super into Pokémon and Pokémon history being stoked for this collection. This is my favorite and seems like the most genuine form of Leonhart. Very great video and very great content. Keep up the great work!
It’s weird how a lot of these people who find their massive old collections let them go to millionaire streamers and TH-camrs who have multi million dollar collections for pennies on the dollar. Rather than someone who would pay closer to the value that would actually enjoy and display it, now they’ll be categorically filed away and never seen.
@@Jeremyyyyyyyyy probably because they have the cash and it's a quick easy sell, instead of taking months or years to sell everything individually. But I agree it's stupid
not even selling to people that would enjoy it. They could sell this stuff to a smaller seller at a con or something and likely get at least 65% of the total value. If I was in the market to buy collections I would of bought all of that for 70% and that gives me 30-50% return on my investment. Since some stuff could be sold for higher than market depending on condition etc...

This is a amazing collection, Leonhart needs to get a hands free camera the way he was handling some of the items gave me wild amounts of anxiety for something that isn’t even mine 😂
Agreed. Very happy he was able to film this. I also love the guy was a player as a kid and didn’t just collect. Those stories are always great to hear.
Awesome video and thanks for recording this. These type of collections (not just Pokémon) are becoming harder and harder to find. Love the stories behind him playing at the bookstore and in the league. Id imagine this would be hard for him to sell as it seems a good chunk of his life for a few years was Pokémon. Hopefully he kept the checklist he was making with his mom as that is priceless.
18:20 My mom brought two of these for me from a trip to Germany. The city one and the forest one. I added more mini pokemons to them by buying pokemon lollipops (there was a pokemon figure at the top of the stick, under the hard candy) and my dad cut them off for me so I could play with them. I still have those here at my very own house in my work room where I keep my collection. This video brought so many memories from my childhood as well. I seriously regret giving out my cards from the early 2000s. I've seen a lot of 1990s cards I had in binders. Live and learn, I just started collecting again and have ZERO intentions on parting with them until I'm trying to retire. 🤣
His lack of remembering of how he got these cards leads me to believe this was more of mom’s collection, but good for them creating memories. Great content Lee 👍
Oh, what a nostalgia trip. I remember having those cards…unfortunately I threw all my base unlimited cards away and gym leader, team rocket sets when we moved. My parents was complaining that it’s taking up space. Oh well, thanks for sharing what an amazing nostalgia trip.
@Matches-Malone same here, but I didn't throw them away. They got mistaken for trash, and my brother threw them out. By the time I found out it, a long time had passed. So I couldn't do or say much about it.
Also, the metal coins were part of a game that was made where they would spin and whatever it lands on that was in the direction of the other coin was what happened for your action. I used to have a bunch of those. I just can't remember how the spinning worked for it, if it was with fingers or a spinner of sorts
