The song by Creepy Nuts used as the ending released before the manga of the show did, and the mangaka actually asked them if he could use the name Yofukashi No Uta for the manga. And for the anime adaptation they got Creepy Nuts not only for the opening and ending, but all OSTs as well.

So there is this really old Japanese art form style of comedy called Manzai with two performers, a Straight Man (tsukkomi) and Funny man (Boke), you've probably seen this come up in a million different anime. There are late-night shows that use this form of comedy as a base, doing essentially their version of Late Night Talk Shows in the west with it. Two of the biggest names in this space Masayasu Wakabayashi and Ryota Yamasato, each with their own two-person teams (The Nankai Candies and Audrey), split off and did a temporary two-person show for a while that was really popular called Tarinai Futari. Creepy Nuts, who had been semi-popular in Japanese music, just not in Anime related stuff, publicly expressed that they really liked it, and Wakabayashi reached out to them, becoming friends with DJ Matsunaga and then asked them make a song for them for their 10th anniversary of the main show on ANN. Which was this song. Which was inspired by staying up late and watching these late night comedy shows. If you watch the original MV on their own youtube Channel, they actually have clips of the show on a TV in it. This song then went on to inspire the Mangaka that wrote Call of The Night, who then as you said asked for permission to use the name for his manga, and then brought on Creepy Nuts to do the music for the anime once it was green-lit. Which was their introduction into making Anime songs, pulled into it by the manga named after their song, and now they are highly successful in the space and have made really popular ones for Mashle and Dandadan.
