He put the fear in falcons by simply existing on height but Zap's ego refuses to admit he could be wrong. Hopefully they watch all these angles back in vod review.
2:19 they were already healed up, Zap is claiming they couldn’t climb up because they were low on health which is false. Evan is right, taking height would be the game winning move. VP would be forced to push the building where Falcons is. TSM just needed to protect height.
@ in the grand scheme of things, you can’t imagine the mental toll it takes to be an IGL. It’s easy for us bystanders to analyze the play by play in a comfort setting. Its ok to make mistakes but a good igl needs to improve on their mistakes.
We look for someone saying this. Pressuring the climb up may have drawn more attention to TSM from low ground but it didn't matter in hind sight they got wiped anyway
Of course. No one wants another team to have height on them lol The issue is Evan was scouting and falcons saw him, so when zap and reps climb up, they’re already in sight and get shot at. At that point, it is better for Evan to group because falcons can three man climb on him. You hear Hal and zer0 comming about Evan being alone on height. Zap and reps can’t focus/help much because VP is also next to them unless VP decide the better play is to not kill the two man in front of them while the two man helps their third

The house isn’t game winning spot, because it’s one of the earliest places out of someone close

Looking at it from all these perspectives is really nice. Excellent work compiling this. Its those little micro rotates that makes zero, hakis, and hal such great igls. Evan was climbing the building when his team tried to climb up behind him but got shot down by falcons. They tried following him, but falcons had them cut off. They needed to climb exactly when Evan chose to.

Evan is right by every metric, zaps call was indecisive and plays no position, Evan may have slightly overextended but played careful and had the better position on zap calling to not play two god spots. Don’t hate no one that’s just what happened in that clip
It depends on wether you are trying to win or to get placement points. Of course you can just play the spot and hope you don't have to actually play the game. If you want to win you have to take a risk and fight for the better position at some point.
Evan needs to bounce, like yesterday! "Just follow whatever Zap is saying, then we can talk about it after." Hey bonehead, that's literally what's happening. Is that supposed to be their coach? Sigh Even if you have a basic understanding of Apex or a BR game in general, you will easily come to the conclusion that, yes, in an endgame, with three teams left, being stuck IN THE MIDDLE of two teams is the worst position to be in. Especially in this scenario. Not only does Evan have the highest game IQ, based on the conversation they had, he has both the highest general IQ and EQ of them all. Save yourself bro.
not looking good for tsm. i hope they figure things out and give evan some co igl in the last ring. zap's playstyle doesnt fit well with evan. playing passive wont win you the game. even zero is TT zap for his decision making plays. taking height there was the game winning move.
Mfs glazing Evan blames zap and anyone who glazes zap blames Evan, anyone who common sense sees the lack of chemistry. If the team is that split and can’t communicate something so simple as rotating you’re not gonna win a tourney.
I like these crashout-breakdowns! So much wrong here. Zap literally counter-called himself for a start. Second Zap wasn't playing to win, but to avoid losing. You can't just play your life every time if you want to win games. Evan was wrong even if he had the better play because they have all agreed Zap is IGL. If Evan wants to IGL, he should ask to be IGL, or just follow Zap and argue plays while they watch the VOD back instead of in game. Having 3 IGLs can work sometimes, but then you are making your real IGL worse at calling. Better to just let IGL make mistakes.
Nah an igl needs to have trust in his team if they truly believe they have a better play in mind. Giving up godspot and sandwiching yourself between the 2 teams is a bad play. "Listen no matter what then discuss after" is a horrible mindset that breeds cowardice in game. He didn't make Zaps decisions or igling worse in that situation like you're saying.
@@Cope69 I also agree with the even though your IGL you should listen to the best play. Like VP isnt going to int Falcons on height, theyre gonna go for the team that is in the pinch. This support meta probably influenced Zap's decision to stay there imo, hes relying so hard on cycling mobi shield and bubble.

Since hal left all Evans bad personal traits come to the surface man.. I don't like this guy anymore. Walking next to his shoes and cant take any feedback. L for verhulst
These micro decisions make or break to be a lan winning igl. The team is still in that transistion phase where they fully need to go off of zap as the igl. Evan could've also just hard counter called instantly by saying to just climb roof with a mega voice or when they crossed give that info to zap so he had more time to process that info
they said they were needing to heal before climbing, when they were all close to full or full, just shows that evan was right more honestly. they had the chance to climb and take space but ego got in the way
The only way to win this game is either push the team on lowground to have a 3vs3 against Falcons but with a disadvantage or push highground/take roof instantly. Evan was completely right. The only way to win this game is to be proactive.
evan made the right call, reps followed him and got shot instantly, so there is no right or wrong. Zap is a dynamic leader, verhulst is a rude jamaican, if they both get that conspirative chemistry going, they will win this lan!
I don't understand why Evan isn't the IGL? He's clearly the best player on the team and often makes good calls. With a little coaching, he'd probably be great at it
If TSM had all climbed at the same time they could've gotten high ground without any resistance like how Evan was able to, but we saw Reps lose all his armor because he was several seconds later to climb up barely even stepping towards the building. If Reps and Zap committed to the climb up, Reps will most likely have went down and Zap didn't have bubble up yet to try and cross safely. Would've ended up a 2v3 before Evan had a chance to shoot back to counter. At that point Falcons could just ape onto Zap leaving it a 1v3 (probably 1 Falcons player at low HP). This is all purely just my thoughts on how things would have played out. Evan made the right call at that time, but Reps and Zap didn't follow immediately. Reps going back to Zap was the right call because committing to trying to cross would've 9 times out of 10 result in a down.
Evan saying if you go either side to full wipe each squad. He they take height it's easier to win position wise problem is falcons cut off Evans team after he made the cross. And we're getting rampart offed
They are both right. Top 3 you play for the W by 3rd partying. Evans move was the correct move but zap doesn't see what Evan sees and in his head making the correct call. Ultimately in this situation Evan was the correct one but if Falcons fights the third team then zap is correct.
Evan misses Hal’s game winning plays and Zap just doesn’t have that mentality. Verhulst could easily IGL. He even says “chill” like a true IGL already 😂
Zap needs to just go play with his little brothers. He obviously only likes 2 people in the scene and they are not his current teammates. Zap is the James Harden of the Apex pro scene without the handles.
If Evan didn't go on Falcons roof, TSM would've been in the middle and got third place and both teams would've focused. The pressure got them to back off TSM as they were in the middle (horrible position) Then again, if all of TSM takes height, then they have to jump down when the ring moves and they get beamed as well Falcons had the best position and 2nd place with what happened was probably the best outcome for the Falcons as after they wiped, they were the team in the middle. They would've needed to rush to height where the bushes, not the building (maybe 1 guy on the building) are a lot earlier and force the Falcons to be in between the two teams to win it. That would've given them KP and a potential to fight for 1st place.
I'm not that knowledgeable about these types of situations but Evan had the right call. Height was free and they could have pushed the team from above instead of being in the corner just waiting to get shot from above.
Evan only got to the roof bc they wasnt looking if rep and zap climb that they would instant die or at least one and now is a 3v2. hal, walt and zero were waiting for the climb...
Here's what I don't understand, why is Zap the IGL? He's the newest member and both Evan / Jordan have tons of experience playing with the best IGL in the game. I wish Jordan stepped-up and took on the role of IGL. He might've been able to bring TSM back to it's former glory with the right 3rd. No offense to Zap though, he beams but his calls are meh.
Evan had the right idea but it's already too late for his team. The moment Evan climbed roof, Falcons already watching when zap and reps gonna climb and it's basically a shooting range for them. End zones are chaotic so giving the IGL full command on the team would be the best. Playing together in a bad spot is better than having the team separated by too many game callers.
Thats true, however Evan was very vocal is letting them know that height is free and that nobody was there. If they literally took 2 seconds to hear Evan and agree they would’ve already been in the building and at most have gotten cracked securing a possible dub. The decision is only bad once they decide to ignore Evan.
Zap is going to get cut imo, he never listens to evan and it honestly seems like when evan gives an idea zap purposely shuts it down no matter what it is, good or bad he just says no. Zap doesn’t win his ones and often dies doing bonehead plays
Whoever that coach is...needs to be fired :D Everyone in the comments can tell Zap had the wrong play, except for the TSM's coach :D EDIT: Your job is to literally just WATCH the game from a 3rd person's view and call out whether that was the right or wrong decision....
Zap had bubble, they should have bubbled height and climbed building for free. Falcons would have thirded low ground then they would have thirded for the win
Fighting VP on the low ground either gets you 2nd or 3rd since Falcons would probably wipe that instantly. Best play was to probably go height and play the building like Evan said and try pressure Falcons into jumping down, although either play looks like it guarantees them 2nd place, I dont think Falcons would jump down into that middle ground since they know theyll be in a pinch. Zap looks like he wants to play for placements and hope they int each other, but why would Falcons int when they have height. Also they say "we were healing" when Evan starts to climb, all 3 of them are close to full hp in the same spot, why couldnt they just climb? They make it sound like they were ripping heals whilst Evan was climbing, but clearly that wasnt the case.
Who's even zap to question verhulst ,how many finals or tournaments has zap been successful at vs verhulst career wins us just ridiculous and then the coach saying don't question we'll figure it out later is crazy😂
So they had a chance to clear low and ended up dying later fighting that same team. After disengaging reps calls they need to watch that team's climbup now since they didn't wipe. Not even a question they should've fought.
Evan misses Hal 🥲 Evan gives comms like if he were still playin with Hal who usually listens to his teams suggestions to adapt. Zap is a good IGL by not folding instantly to Evan. TSM is a scary team if they pull off what they did before.
First this was AMAZING editing and you earned yourself a subscriber. Secondly, this is an example where Hal (though we know he can be a dick) trusts his teammates. I remember Evan telling him that they should take height during an end game during ALGS and Hal went with it and they ended up winning that round.
I agree with rep and zap, even though Evan def made the right call. If you have a designated igl, follow the calls even if you disagree because at least you're all playing together. But Zaps a pos because he was doing the exact same thing when Evan was igl in previous situations except his counter calling was wrong the majority of the time. These apex pros all act mentally challeged. Just follow the igl in scrims and you can point out the mistakes after when reviewing vods. Pretty much the whole point of scrims.
Evan got the free climb up but falcons was looking after Evan which prevented the rest of the team from climbing up. Did not feel like Evan capitalized on his climb up. I’m not saying zap is right. But the hesitation from the rest of the team, since it’s Evan calling and not the IGL, is what prevented their climb up. Literally 2 whole seconds prevented them from winning. But from Zap’s and Rep’s perspective they were being looked at by 3 red armors trying to climb up as a two man.
Zap has some nerve thinking he can call out better plays then the two former world champs. I legitimately dislike zap every since he joined TSM. He was handed the leader spot with no accolades or final lobbies in a LAN prior to TSM. Can't stand Zap and his shit calls.
Im sorry but evan is wrong. Zap was hesitating twice and it got them killed. If they listened to evan they could have made the climb, but zap is still igl. Eventhough his call was the right one igl calls are still final because when you do different things youll be picked off and cant execute any plan
That’s apex 101? high ground advantage??? especially seeing how it played out.. wtf was Zero really expecting? Like bro you’re a “pro” inadvertently directing your team to stay pinched between 2 other teams in a corner on low ground. Idk why we have so many star players getting egod by their shit teammates, the best player is typically the smartest, the smartest player should be IGL full time.
They have enough talent to win lan, but cracks are showing. Evan 1st call wrong,, 2nd call right. Feel like Evan is going thru what Lou did a few years ago, ego starting to overshadow talent.

9:44 ''lots of verts lots of verts'' lmaooo im dying
They are both right. Top 3 you play for the W by 3rd partying. Evans move was the correct move but zap doesn't see what Evan sees and in his head making the correct call. Ultimately in this situation Evan was the correct one but if Falcons fights the third team then zap is correct.
Even was right
Evan misses Hal’s game winning plays and Zap just doesn’t have that mentality.
The pressure got them to back off TSM as they were in the middle (horrible position)
Then again, if all of TSM takes height, then they have to jump down when the ring moves and they get beamed as well
Falcons had the best position and 2nd place with what happened was probably the best outcome for the Falcons as after they wiped, they were the team in the middle.
They would've needed to rush to height where the bushes, not the building (maybe 1 guy on the building) are a lot earlier and force the Falcons to be in between the two teams to win it. That would've given them KP and a potential to fight for 1st place.
I hope Raven is still the coach for TSM to Rip Zap a new 1 for his poor choices not giving clear communication to either come back or stay at his spot
Evan was right. Zap was way too passive seem to be aiming for a top 3 finish instead of a win.
I'd listen to the guy who won algs
I'm not that knowledgeable about these types of situations but Evan had the right call. Height was free and they could have pushed the team from above instead of being in the corner just waiting to get shot from above.
Who won? Oh the team that took the building evan said take...... odd
Evan only got to the roof bc they wasnt looking if rep and zap climb that they would instant die or at least one and now is a 3v2. hal, walt and zero were waiting for the climb...
9:41 Got destroyed by nades 😂
Evan is so much better than the other two bro
Def should’ve played height with Verhulst
Zap is going to get cut imo, he never listens to evan and it honestly seems like when evan gives an idea zap purposely shuts it down no matter what it is, good or bad he just says no. Zap doesn’t win his ones and often dies doing bonehead plays
Whoever that coach is...needs to be fired :D
Everyone in the comments can tell Zap had the wrong play, except for the TSM's coach :D
EDIT: Your job is to literally just WATCH the game from a 3rd person's view and call out whether that was the right or wrong decision....
Why didn’t Evan wall against vp to cut off flacons 😂
Is zap igl?
Should of took roof with Evan forced them off top and faught the last team that's crazy
TSM is a scary team if they pull off what they did before.
he should've booted the game up then after that London Chip, shameless.
First this was AMAZING editing and you earned yourself a subscriber.
Secondly, this is an example where Hal (though we know he can be a dick) trusts his teammates. I remember Evan telling him that they should take height during an end game during ALGS and Hal went with it and they ended up winning that round.
Setup on roof is better than setup on middle. That is all.
Evan needs a good IGL. Raven would have shit on zap for not going with Evans plan.
Most ass take
Evan was right 👍🏼
xDDD, even has 100% right there, if they took over the roof they would have chance of winning game not playing for 2nd
No entiendo mucho 😢 me dicen?
Evan got the free climb up but falcons was looking after Evan which prevented the rest of the team from climbing up. Did not feel like Evan capitalized on his climb up.
I’m not saying zap is right. But the hesitation from the rest of the team, since it’s Evan calling and not the IGL, is what prevented their climb up. Literally 2 whole seconds prevented them from winning.
But from Zap’s and Rep’s perspective they were being looked at by 3 red armors trying to climb up as a two man.
Learned alot from hal
Zap has some nerve thinking he can call out better plays then the two former world champs. I legitimately dislike zap every since he joined TSM. He was handed the leader spot with no accolades or final lobbies in a LAN prior to TSM. Can't stand Zap and his shit calls.
bro Verhulst was right
He’s playing to win by being aggressive
Evan has berrer insight hes win more high-level games
They selling evan
Height was open. Who cares if there’s a team under? YOU HAVE THE ADVANTAGE!!! wtf am I watching? Zap is dookie water
Zap is braindead for this. I miss TSM when they used to win. Oh i forgot that was right before they picked up Zap. HMMM
Im sorry but evan is wrong. Zap was hesitating twice and it got them killed. If they listened to evan they could have made the climb, but zap is still igl. Eventhough his call was the right one igl calls are still final because when you do different things youll be picked off and cant execute any plan
Horrible take but ok
Hey Tony! You are a moron! 😂😂😂
All the height was completely free!! Why not take it!! Thats igls mistake!
And as a bonus they all dai because of low ground!!
Tsm went downhill after hal left
Evan for igl pls !!!
That’s apex 101? high ground advantage??? especially seeing how it played out.. wtf was Zero really expecting? Like bro you’re a “pro” inadvertently directing your team to stay pinched between 2 other teams in a corner on low ground. Idk why we have so many star players getting egod by their shit teammates, the best player is typically the smartest, the smartest player should be IGL full time.
idk but something about zap that pisses me off when I see his gameplay. sometimes 😂
They have enough talent to win lan, but cracks are showing. Evan 1st call wrong,, 2nd call right. Feel like Evan is going thru what Lou did a few years ago, ego starting to overshadow talent.
