  • In this edition of Old Peterhead we have a wee tour round some of the streets of peterhead some are still the same but modified some had not been built on, others are not changed except for the cars there are today. Albion st during the destuction of it and Thistle St to make way for Drummers corner
    notice the cars are all parked where they taking the buildings down, Simpsons garage before its demise a car park for a short time.

    a busy port with sail,steamer and paddle boats some say when Peterhead was at its peak the fish market always full, you could always get a job Lumpin the fish boxs for a few pounds known as the largest white fish port it was always busy the new market now not so busy on some days, but when they get a good haul its brimming.

    and what Peterhead stands for its fishing boats hardy folk who went out every Sunday night regardless in much smaller boats, than today.
