Yes definitely get a salad spinner. It gets the greens dryer and not soggy. I have used mine for over 15 years and it is an essential in my kitchen.

My salad spinner is my life. I love it so much that when we are on road trips to in-laws I bring my salad spinner with me. I hate wet lettuce with a passion. And then I use the spinner just to store the lettuce.

I got my salad spinner at IKEA and use it with romaine, spinach, kale, etc. I spin the water off all of my leafy greens and love it. Makes the greens last longer. The kids will find it fun too!

Dishes are never ending. I’ll do dishes after breakfast in the morning and then we can be out all day and some how the sink is full of dishes by the end of the day again. It will always remain a mystery lol
اعملي شوربة العدس التركيه بصل وزيت وبطاطس مقشره ومقطعه قطع صغيره وجزر مقشر ومقطع وتضاف للبصل والبطاطس والجزر والعدس يغسل العدس البرتقالي
ويضاف الماء الدافئ ويطبخ على النار

Hi Tiffany, just wanted to let you know that I have a salad spinner and I chop, wash and spin all my romaine and then leave it in the spinner in the fridge, my spinner holds 3-4 chopped romaine and they last about a week, although they are usually used up before the week is up, great video again xxxx (Addition) I absolutely adore how you say Worcestershire, we call Worcestershire sauce just Worcester (pronounced with the "ce" dropped I.e wuster or wooster) sauce here in uk (most of us anyway) xxx
Ohmylanta! This is brilliant! Why have I never thought to just leave it in there?!? I end up with a huge container in the fridge AND have to store the spinner! I could do both! Seriously I am doing this from now on! Thanks for the idea!

Get yourself a salad spinner and store your dried leafy greens with a paper towel. Moisture/condensation shortens the life of your produce. :) Thank you for sharing your routine with us.

Ohh my the lemons this reminds me of what I saw on tv the other day where a lady has a clear bin in her fridge for the things she needs to use right away.. so with meals she pulls from there first ie avocados and such. It actually made the news🤭 genius.

For lemons squeeze the juice into ice cube trays and freeze after frozen put into freezer bag as lemon ice cubes use them for cooking drinks etc. My favorite is lemonade with 1 package of lemonade koolaide and the juice of 1/2 lemon add your sugar best ever.

I use my salad spinner for everything… meaning produce to dry it… like fruit before I freeze it and vegetables… It’s not just for lettuces 🙂 also when cooking meat, I sauté the red or sweet Vidalia onions and vegetables… it brings out the flavor. Then I let it cool down then mix it in with the meat and season it. It taste so much better! I use food goggles too and gloves. I love cooking 🧑🍳

The salad spinner is a game changer! We use it every week for the most crisp, clean lettuce which only takes a few minutes! We find it helps the lettuce last longer as well!
As you said, being at mom with your kids, the first thing that came to mind was that I need to stop holding back on my next move - which is to do something else that does not take me away from my daughter so much! I am a single mom and it make me so scred to just make a move! I just need to trust God more and continue to pray about it. Thank you for sharing that!

Oxo salad spinner is the best
Salad spinner is a GAME CHANGER! It is wild how much water I pour out. I spin mine several times and get water each time. Also, I store the lettuce in a zip lock or container with a paper towel and it stays so fresh and crisp.

Yes yes yes on salad spinner!! It's a game changer and you can use it for all your veggies like broccoli and ever berries to keep them dry. They last so much longer.

Just a suggestion; you can freeze lemon zest and lemon juice. That’s what I do because occasionally I’ll make something that calls for one or both.

Salad Spinners are nice. Try putting a paper towel in your container with your lettuce before buying one. That helps a whole lot.

Paper towels at the bottom of tge container. You will need to change out the paper towels at some point. Also green onions wrapped in paper towel will help prolong their shelf life.

A salad spinner would just be another thing to wash! What I do is lay out all the lettuce on paper towel and then press paper towel on top to dry it. Sometimes I also just leave it on the counter for a while to dry before storing it. Lettuce lasts a lot longer when it is not wet. I also usually put a paper towel in whatever I am storing the lettuce in to absorb any moisture.

Suggestion for wet lettuce. I place a napkin on top of lettuce and spinach in the container before putting the lid on. The paper soaks up the moisture. I replace it each time I take some out of the container. This makes them last a lot longer. No salad spinner needed.

no salad spinner. my sister told me to put a paper towel in with the veggie and it works. any leafy veg or even a bag of mini peppers or cucumbers, a paper towel just absorbs the moisture and it lasts longer
