Criss Angel on Obsessions, Illusions, and MMA + LA Reacts to Catalytic Converter Thefts

- Criss Angel sits down with Adam at Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club in Las Vegas. The guys chat about the success of Criss’ show ‘Mindfreak’ and how he designs his illusions. Criss then guides Adam throughout his history performing magic, explaining that it started out as an obsession from an early age.
Adam and Criss discuss how Vegas has changed in the last 30 years and Criss explains his love for MMA and training. Next, the guys share their philosophies on parenting and Criss talks about his son being diagnosed with cancer. Adam tells Criss that he’s looking at properties in Las Vegas after the interview and the guys laugh about how crazy Los Angeles is getting. This leads to a discussion about LA council members recently opposing a new motion to prevent catalytic converter thefts. Lastly, the guys recall the days when drivers would have to remove their stereos after parking the car.
Criss and Adam did a great job on this episode. I liked the peaceful approach, and letting each other speak.
Wow! Being an amateur magician myself i never liked chris angel's magic but hearing him talk he seems like a genuinely good fella
It’s just a character. Penn Jillette is constantly being a jerk when talking about him, but this guy actively employs hundreds of people and none of them talk crap about him. It’s kinda like Andrew Dice Clay who played a douche back in the 80’s.
His character is unappealing to some, and I’m sorta included but I am interested to see his Vegas show after hearing this interview. I’m not really a vegas kinda person, but that tornado actually sounds amazing

I’ve been a fan of Criss’ since Mindfreak and saw his original Vegas show a couple time, so I was looking forward to listening to this interview. It was a killer segment, and I was pleased and impressed to hear how level headed and based he is!

Speaking about delayed gratification before star wars figures were sold in stores you had to order them via mail I honestly think the only one avaliable was a Luke man that was the longest wait I ever had
The “Early Bird Certificate”!! I was a big fan and clipping the proofs of purchase and sending them in for a mail-away only figure, too. It was exciting to check the mailbox everyday to see if the plain white box from Hasbro has been delivered!
Go to Vegas at least twice a year, will definitely check out his show next time out. Walk by there when I eat at the Strip House. Can't wait

You'd think Criss and Adam would be ideological opposites but they see eye to eye on practically everything they talked about. Would have never guessed just how based AF Criss is.

Adam you are too high in the age estimates for the kids stealing catalytic converters, and entire Kias. At least here in the Midwest, the Kia Boys thugs are 11-14 years old.
Here in St Louis we had a classic carjacking video a few months ago. 3 Hoodie American youths, age 14-15ish, ran up on a preacher getting in his minivan and took the keys at gunpoint. They couldn't figure out how to start the car and get it in gear and made the poor bastard do it for them.

Also on the school lunches. All you need to feed public school children a lunch is bread and a tub of peanut butter. The waste of the taxpayers money is incredible.
I agree with the sentiment that it programs kids to rely on government assistance for everything. But I just wish I even had the option to buy lunch, I went to a catholic school with no food on-site, no air conditioning or refrigerators, whatever you brought was barely edible by lunch. Catholic high school did have food for sale but you didn't want to touch it. Most lived on fries and cookies and candy.

Great show until yall try to talk politics. I am a single dad who makes good money but paid for school lunches really help right now given inflation and that I pay 3000 a month for a house to fit my kids in the school district they want to stay in for stability. The inflation and everything is caused by govt action and giving tons of money to the banks and super wealthy the least they can do is subsidize lunches bc it is truly helpful and doesn’t cost much for the govt

Oh there's always an excuse, whether it's justified or something more self involved, one can imagine what they might say if caught doing something not right. One could get an excuse all mapped out and word for word, maybe it's a worthy cause and deflects from the act of ____,fill in the blank. OR YOU COULD not steal or not let yourself into a building or house. But let's say you are inside a building, not making a mess just escaping the elements and resting,then someone approaches you and is pissed. Just calmly admit you are wrong for the trespass and don't say anything, just calmly pack up your things, maybe you cleaned the area and it is not worse than when you found it. Agree that you are not wanting to be a negative part of their day, maybe offer them that you're available for some kind of services, maybe it's called work, you can do a job. Maybe the person realizes that the property is straightened up and not worse for wear. Take responsibility for your actions and don't make excuses, best advice, don't get caught, you can do what you want, but if you do get caught, admit it and don't make excuses, it's obvious that sometimes we don't have an excuse but do have a reason and if you are humble and honest, you might be forgiven or offered a compromise that is beneficial for all for both parties. Good luck with your endeavors and be honest .

It's part of the magic lol. Or part of his image anyway. I mean, indoor sunglasses is a bold fashion statement. Or maybe the guy is just really light sensitive.
I saw a thing on tv, maybe a political ad, I forget, it was one of our local BLM government people talking about our insane rise in stolen cars with the Kia boys and all that and bragging about her solution of suing Hyundai for making their cars too easy to steal.
