I read the true story of Nat Turner. He was hung, skinned, burned, and some even ate him like barbecue. Pieces of his body were passed as souvenirs to those in part of his execution. The text is always the best proof.

This scene is so powerful man. Through all adversity, through all pain, Nat Turner was a man who was willing to make a change. To rebel and spark a fire in many other slaved brothers and sisters for the greater good. Nat Turner was a man, smart enough to know that they were in the right, and god was behind them. Such a powerful scene that goes to show how much people can be and what they are capable of.

To show the whites that the slaves weren't afraid and were willing to fight, and that no matter how hard the whites tried, they could never take away the freedom that all slaves were born with as American citizens from the start. I was on Nat Turner's side the entire movie. Except for the white children, all of the white adults deserved to die for their cruelty towards the slaves. This movie was the most powerful movie I’ve ever seen. I cried when I saw it back in 2016 in the movie theatre. Very sad. When the founding fathers of America created the country they should have outlawed slavery overall, not just some. The fact that these people in reality probably really did cheer for this hanging is very disturbing. Surely they knew why he did it, being treated very bad by slave owners.

My own suggestion for appropriate last words:
    "Didn't my Lord deliver Daniel?
    Deliver Daniel, deliver Daniel?
    Didn't my Lord deliver Daniel?
    And why not every man?
He delivered Daniel from the lion's den
And Jonah from the belly of the whale
And the Hebrew children from the fiery furnace
    Why not every man?
    Didn't my Lord deliver Daniel?
    Deliver Daniel, deliver Daniel?
    Didn't my Lord deliver Daniel?
    And why not every man?
I set my foot on the gospel ship
And the ship began to sail
It landed me over on Canaan's shore
And I'll never come back no more
    Didn't my lord deliver Daniel,
    Deliver daniel, deliver daniel
    Didn't my lord deliver Daniel
    And why not every man
The moon runs down in a purple stream
And the sun refused to shine
    And every star did disappear
    Yes, freedom shall be mine
    Didn't my Lord deliver Daniel?
    Deliver Daniel, deliver Daniel?
    Didn't my Lord deliver Daniel?
    And why not every man?

[2]And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.

Plus he wasn't bout to give that young man who basically sold him out to "Massa" up because he knew what would've happened to that boy. He figured in his mind that the boy was young and probably had fear either beat into him or he was brainwashed with so much Fear psychologically that he didn't understand. Heck even if the boy who ratted all of them out did understand and knew what he was doing.....Nat Turner wasn't that type of person to do tit-4-tat. He wasn't gone give that boy a death sentence like he was receiving because you best believe that's what would've happened if Nat Turner told on him b4 he was about to be hanged. Besides Nat probably knew that boy was gon hate himself and feel that guilt for the rest of his life like Judas.
