    Really interesting to hear about UK student loans.. Here in the US, we have about 5% interest+1% loan fee for loans up to about 200k USD
    Beyond that, you can take out farther but at far higher rates (7% interest 4% loan fee). Depending on the medical degree+ residency years, doctors here can accumulate 180k to 500k USD.
    Best of luck brother! We are lucky to have physicians like you in this world!

    45 pounds a month mulitplied by 30 years is 16,200 pounds which is really affordable if you think about it.

    This video was very informative and helpful. Would you know what to do if the maintenance loan does not fully cover the dorm rent?

    • @DoctorKenji
      @DoctorKenji  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! It depends on how much you get, it’s a means tested loan so varies between people

    How did you get loans after already doing a degree? Ive done 3 years in uni but wanting to change to also persue medicine but i was told that i would only get maintenance and not tuition as ive already had 3 years? Im really confused. Great video as always!

    Hey Kenji! Thanks for the video!
    I’m confused though, I thought only those born in the uk have access to government student loans (including maintenance loan)? I thought international students had to pay everything upfront?

    • @DoctorKenji
      @DoctorKenji  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re welcome! Uk citizens get access to a loan, which I am

    I'm so confused because I thought here in the UK you csn only get 1 student loan for 1 degree but Kenji has done 2 degrees 🤔

    • @DoctorKenji

      You get a maintenance loan only as a second degree

      @@DoctorKenji Hey Kenji, if you don't mind me asking - how much maintenance loan do the government provide? Is it the same as for a first degree - where you're guaranteed a minimum amount (~3K) but can get a means tested loan for more?

    Uk debt is better than American debt it affect for Americans we have one year to pay for debt , and USA different .... If your British why didn't you actually been a doctor in France for free or Germany .... Your European before Brexit it's better. Cuba give international students to be a doctor in Cuba it's English it's good .. yes .. better than USA ... USA it's 7 to 10 years depending on your studies
