The FC11 is without a doubt my favorite flashlight. Perfect for in the house with the flooded beam and warm color. I don't believe that one light suits all. The throw is not adequate for outside. The FC12 is better for distance and I also have the FC12. For the ultimate long distance, I have two Sofirn IF22A's. I have a black one and a silver one. The silver one is the first light that my wife grabs when she goes outside after dark. The larger battery is also a big plus.

@@DarrenYeoYT For sure! I was checking out a few of my torches today with the 5000K LH351D emitters and definitely noticed a slight green tint which will be absent in the Nichia 519A 5000K model. I was also compared the 5000K LH351D emitter against the 5000K XHP 70.2 emitter in my Sofirn SP33S flashlight and was impressed on how neutral the color was on the XHP 70.2. I did not detect any green tint on the Cree emitter.
I have both of these lights to the exact just like yours. For me for the most part, I prefer the 4000K over the 5000K for most uses. I do though use my 5000K version more. I have an S2+ with 5000K 519A and I prefer that LED to the LH351D in the FC11. It seems the Nichia renders the colors a little better the the FC11, as the is more green apparent in the beam. I do like and use them all, however, I would recommend that any future buyers for the FC11 opt for the Nichia emitter if the interest is for that light. Good review as always.
They should really give this an anduril 2 ui. Low to medium is a huge jump in my opinion. I like this like so much i got 4 and 5k versions 😅 and they definitely have longer runtimes compared to convoy s2+ with 519 led. The fc11 has a more distinct hotspot. But the convoy has more flood. Both fantastic value lights
FC11 is a great choice man. Just make sure the LED is either the Nichia 519A or Samsung LH351D. Those are all high CRI LEDs that produce decent output as well. There is also the Wurrkos TS10 that has high CRI LEDs too (3x CSP?)
Hi, my FC11 Nichia 519A is getting very warm after 2-3 minutes in high mode (700 lumens) so that I no longer want hold it in my hand. is that normal? a flashlight that can only be used in low and mid mode? The LH351D would probably have been the better option. Thanks for your work. 🙂
Yeah that can happen, is it too hot to hold down the back of the battery tube though? Wurkkos usually have a big step down so it should start to cool down.
@@DarrenYeoYT I should have informed myself better. The high mode is too high for my taste. It would have been better to choose a high-level of 550-600 that could be hold permanently. 700 (high) and step down to ~450 maybe is not a very good choice. but okay, I'll deal with it. The surface temperature at the front is almost 45 degrees until it reduces automatically.Thanks for the answer.

That's awesome Gus, that's my preferred model as well - the 5000K portrays colours more accurately and to me seems a bit brighter? Great bargain.

Yeah, the TD02 was my least favourite of that series.

Thank you Jack, I use the 5000K more as colours appear more accurate to me :D it's a nice EDC. Just glad it's not using an SST40!

Some smaller steps would be nicer on the FC11. I'm not a huge fan of anduril these days, prefer a simple UI.
Hi, would you recommed the model with LH351D or 519A emitter? They both seem very similar.
I prefer the 519A as I end up de-doming them for a warmer tint and increased throw. But yeah similar specs.

Yep, I'd buy the FC12 over this but the FC11 is also a different light with more of a floody beam :)
