I'm afraid you have an aphid infestation and that is zapping your plant from all its nutrients. GOOD NEWS!! It is a common problem & therefore very treatable. I was sorry to see the "euooh"'(yuck) attitude to a few insects. Just in case anyone doesn't know insect numbers are in sharp decline. As insect numbers decline the whole ecosystem is made less resilient, and eventually if enough of them die-off large mammals such as humans will also be threatened. We need to change our revulsion to nature and natural systems. We are not above nature, we are part of it.
