All I gotta say is, You know Big Pun next level when he make ya'll forget Nas was on the song. That has never happened to me before. But when I heard this I listened to Big Pun verse 20 times striaght and I listen to Nas verse 3-4 times. Nas was his usual amazing self. But Big Pun was volcanic with his flow, delivery, word play, metaphor play. Damn that's how you become a legend in a 2 year span.
Not only that- but after Nas heard Pun's verse, he RE WROTE his shit. That's crazy to think about. If Pun isn't in someone's top 10 dead or alive, they must be stooooopid. It's hard once you start narrowing it down, but without thinking he's top 3 for me, before any debates. 2 classic albums, several classic mash ups, a really good posthumous album with classics and unheard verses/collabs. Plus- everybody talks about his flow being insane- and it is- considering he was near 700lbs at his biggest and very large his entire life even after dropping 100lbs towards the end- his breathe control would 1 breathe 16 of his bars, when most can't spit 4-8 bars when they are also saying NOTHING- and his lyrics were so sharp

Just listen to all of Pun's Capital Punishment album. Don't sleep on his second album Yeeeah Baby! though, tracks like "Watch Those", "Leatherface", "N**ga Sh*t", "New York Giants" are classics. Terror Squad the album has some bangers too.

Fat Joe was a good artist but when he signed Big Pun to Terror Squad he knew he had a once-in-a-generation M.C. Fat Joe didn't have to rap as much he could concentrate on pushing Pun and Terror Squad. If Pun would've lived there is no telling how far he would've risen.
Very few rappers can mix lyricism, flow, and intelligent/clever wordplay while making radio pop songs. Big Pun could be just as great as the best underground lyricist while making pop hits as good as the most popular rapper. It was amazing to see.
