Can this be used in combination with EIM (Equipment Interface Module) to also have no wires from the thermostat to the air handler? Meaning a ERM for the condenser, a EIM for the air handler, and a wire-free thermostat that controls both the EIM and the ERM?
yes, any Honeywell "redlink " thermostat will communicate with the ERM, but remember the ERM needs to be powered by 24Volts, you can power it off furnace transformer or install a 220 volt to 24volt transformer in condensing unit..... hope this helps, , Brian.
@@abledistributors Extremely helpful! Thank you! You read my mind on getting the 24Vac to the condenser. Just install a transformer at the bottom of the contactor and call it a day!
no, BUT.. we have a few options, 1- Ecobee has a unit with a remote sensor, leave the thermostat where it is a choose to measure temp from the sensor. OR, 2- Honeywell has wireless thermostats ( non-WiFi ) simply wire the base unit at your equipment, and place the wireless thermostat anywhere in your home. IF your using it on a boiler, you can use this to have a wireless thermostat in that case. Hope this helped. Brian..
this is an awesome controller
