    This has always been my dream! I promised to myself that I'm gonna create a multi-purpose studio (for singing, dancing and workout) if I could buy my own house. I mean it's not just good for leisure and hobby, it's also beneficial for my overall health so it's really an investment! Meanwhile I would have to finish this hell aka med school lol

      I have the same goal but you're lucky enough that you're already in med school while I'm still stuck in my senior yr in highschool

    Excellent. My daughter has been asking for this setup and the studio mirrors are upwards of $300. We showed this to her and she was very happy with the idea so we are already heading to Target to put this together. Thx again-

    I ended up doing this and it's great so far, my only fear is if i ever have to take them down i'd probably have to break the mirrors bc the hold is so strong. but these are never falling off the wall that's for sure

      alicia min what did you use to bond them to the wall?

    • @newchangeunlisted_viewer5594
      @newchangeunlisted_viewer5594 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea I used a paint scraper and slowly pried all the sections off. Then again I did them really quick after applying so maybe after a few months the bond would be harder to remove

      Hair drier loosens scotch tape bond too just takes awhile because it’s thicker than the original glue

    Almost bought the $300 ones... this installation costed 6 x 9 = $54?

    i tried this but my mirrors ended up falling off the next day. it might’ve been because my walls have a glossy paint coat on top. i also used 2 extra strips of tape on the top and bottom of the mirrors as well but they ended up falling. i think maybe next i’m going to try sanding down the wall a bit before reattaching them. just a tip for anyone who has a glossy top coat on their walls! thank you for the helpful tutorial!

      For added security you can use mirror caulking and/or mirror mounting clips. Both are available at hardware stores like Home Depot and are inexpensive

    Hi, there are three very important points to make about dance and gym mirrors, no sharp edges on the mirror glass, the mirror should have a safety laminate backing incase it gets broken and finally a secure fixing to the wall. All these are for safety!

    Or just make it painless and use command strips... for easy removal later.
    I have one of these types of mirrors (without the frame) mounted horizontally on the wall over my makeup table and another (with frame) mounted vertically on my door to see outfits of the day.
    I’ve had them mounted up for 1yr+. My door mirror recently came off, but that was because my toddler pulled on it (to look behind it for his “lookalike friend” lol!). So, he tore the paper backing from behind the mirror that the command strip was attached to. But the command strips stayed in place together on the door!
    I was able to remove the command strips from the door easily without issue or damage.
    I only use the command strips with the highest weight rating that I can find in store and place one strip along the edges, but more could be used to be extra cautious..

    Great video!! Question is how are they holding up??? Have you tried to remove one.. Another girl said they were completely stuck to her wall

    • @InventAdventure
      @InventAdventure  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi! So far the mirrors have held up without falling for a year, and still look strong!
      To remove the mirrors, a hairdryer and old gift card (or other thin plastic scraper) can be used again -- the hairdryer to loosen the adhesive and the gift card to gently pry off the tape from the wall.
      There is some risk that your drywall paper may tear. If this happens, you can touch up the areas with sealer, joint compound, and paint. Just Google "torn drywall repair" to see more details.
      I would treat this installation as semi-permanant, or just keep in mind that there will likely be some extra work when you do remove it!
      I will have to remove my setup in a couple years, and I'll try to make another tutorial video for removal when I do!

      Clear and accurate.
      I use one of these mounted to my wall over my makeup table (without the border) and another one mounted to my door to see outfits of the day.
      You can always check it out at the store before buying.. lol

    Update to the last comment, I did figure out how to successfully take the mirrors out of the frame without breaking them, it's not foolproof, but it involved doing it with a razor blade instead of the gift card, a blanket to put the mirrors on, and making sure the glue with cut away without trying to pry the mirrors out of the frame. I did three successfully so far, and increased time of each one by alot, and didn't have to the hairdryer either.

    • @iammixontv7859
      @iammixontv7859 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      As a hip hop dance instructor, who learned most everything from youtube but has also taken in person classes I highly recommend STEEZY, I wish it was around when I was learning from TH-cam, it’s just like any dance class you would go to, but broken down into smaller sections which makes it easy to focus and learn at your own pace. You can rewind and go back to certain sections that you would like to work on. And they teach basics that most studios only teach to 5 yr olds. Also it’s surprisingly cheap. Most dance classes are $15 per class, or $50 per month and that’s the lower end. STEEZY is $20 a month or $100 yearly. It’s the best choice honestly. You only have to motivate yourself to doing it at home. That’s the hardest part.

    Thanks for the video. One question - I noticed that once you separate the mirror from the frame, the edges of the mirrors are very sharp. Usually frameless mirror edges are polished for safety. Since this one is housed in the frame, the edges are not polished. How do you handle that?
