Seeing this alone in a completely empty theatre was singlehandedly my favourite cinema experience in a while. The gleeful scream I let out when they throw a dummy off a cliff in broad daylight with absolutely no special effects and hoped no one would notice summoned the ushers to check if I was OK.

Speaking of Michael Pena, I also watched the cinematic adaptation of Dora the Explorer yesterday (he plays Dora's dad). Did you like that movie?

They should bring back weekly television shows like "The Love Boat" and "Fantasy Island" that had new guest stars every week and were just campy fun. Can you imagine "The Love Boat" guest starring RuPaul, Dwayne Johnson, Toni Colette, Jamie Lee Curtis, Steve Zahn and Charo? 😁

this movie was bad, I regret the fact that I watched it in the hopes that it would be this terrifying island adventure like A Perfect Getaway or a raunchy comedy like Club Dread. I agree it did seem unfair that lucy got an nth amount of revenge scenarios, the island needed a few provisos and quid pro quos like Genie from Aladdin.

Aww, Austin Stowell is a terrible actor, but I think he's pretty hot. I did think it was ridiculous that they kept trying to say this lanky tall drink of water looked like the "dad" being played by Mike Vogel, who is a short stocky blond. I would have recast Wannabe Soldier Boy with Max Thieriot from Bates Motel. Mike Vogel was actually on that show and people kept commenting on how much they looked alike.
It is so weird (but also awesome) to see Andrew and Avaryl in the same room. But this movie seemed flawed at the base script and/or concept level. It also sounds really, really dumb.
this movie was almost made just for me. fantasy island film, female lead and i know almost everyone in it...........then they made it a horry film. LOST ME. just make it an after school special with adults, its really not that hard! a light hearted drama with morals and a lesson we can all take home with us. nowadays those are only in christian films and i am so NOT watching those......#backtothe90shollywood
