i have bleached hair streaks as well and i did the roots at home with my mum, it was hard and stressful but i think you can do it!!! it came out good at the end i would reccomend buying the bleach from a shop that specialises in hair products so you can ask the workers for lots of advice

my biggest tip when bleaching your hair at home is to buy the bleach powder and the developer in bulk from your local beauty supply store. most likely you will need to apply multiple rounds of bleach to lift or to maintain your hair colour, and the small bottle kits from walmart won't do. + if your going back to back on bleaching, you should use coconut oil before application to protect your hair.

About the hair though, if it was previously bleached to get the blue color, definitely go to a professional. Expensive as it is, if your hair was previously bleached, it is SO EASY to mess it up and get “banding” where it overlaps which causes breakage. If bleach has not been used on the blue underneath though, go for doing it yourself! I recommend Brad Mondo videos/tutorials. I love dying my hair too 😂

I would recommend getting ur hair professionally done. I bleached my own hair once and it went wrong so many times that it needed up costing more then it would’ve costed to get it professionally done… 😭 Might be easily done if u have help tho

I went to a salon recently and I have bleached my hair myself now for 2 years and I keep it healthy (hair mask, no heat) and one of the girls said “YOU SHOULD NEVER BLEACH AT HOME” I’m a college student with 2 jobs, I’m not paying you $200 dollars just to slap that shit on there😭
The craziest thing I found at the bins was these white boots that haven’t even been touched and they were like the expensive boots but they weren’t like Gucci or Louis Vuitton. They’re like a good brand that was like worth like 50 bucks.
