Well, about a month ago i commented saying Arch should contact Janovich, and Kibs responded saying "reach out to him" I responded "well i'm just some random person on the internet, but why not, let's see what happens" Hopped into Janovich's stream and... now this happened. Unexpected success! The real question is: will Arch hire Janovich to make animations for future 40k lore videos?
I don't think he can make those animations in high enough quality to keep up with the new lore videos. Like you've heard during the stream, this takes an incredible amount of time to do solo, from ground up. Once you have the assets it gets easier, but in a diverse universe like Warhammer where there are simply SO MANY THINGS you could possibly talk about, making assets for all of them for future animations could literally be a lifetime of work for a single guy. The best you could hope for is some short animations for some really big future project like Siege of Vraks was, or maybe a still 3D render here and there.
@@RiskOfBaer He said that about the 3D ones, I believe the 2D kind that the history channels use may are more manageable since they're mostly maps with unit icons moving around them.
While I respect Janovich's form of stoicism its that kind of political apathy that has allowed the current cultural war to happen in the first place. This is coming from someone that has been lumped into "the right" simply because I'm not a statist and believe in liberty.
Around the time Arch started talking about the numbers I just thought to myself "Oh god the rest of this is just going to be Arch ranting about logistics."
While I can appreciate Janovich's acceptance in the face of societal degeneration, I think it's a little naïve. It is important to tolerate things for your own wellbeing, but not to accept them. What you think is defined by what you say, hear, and do. Therefore, if freedom speech is stifled, what Janovich considers "sacred and untouchable" (his mind) is no longer so. If his thoughts are his own, they are at least very limited. That's assuming they are his own, because any society that silences speech certainly seeks to force speech.
been checking Janovich channel from time to time and I loved the dancing krieg soldier (and his video on hammer and bolter was good too because it can only be understood by someone who do animation) good guest . would love to see Janovich rageaholic and the inner circle back again on the show.
I only subscribe to Arch, Leutin, Adeptus Ridiculous, and Baldemort when it comes to quality warhammer content. Anyone else is trash tier. I actually owe finding Arch to Sargon. And I owe discovering Warhammer 40k to Arch. And I owe my undying love for Warhammer to Bruva Alfabusa
If anyone thinks that communist thinking could only have originated in the 20th century, I would recommend studying the political and social organization of ancient Sparta. Disproval of private property, liquidation of the nuclear family, everything is in the state and in care of state, ... And many medieval Christian sects also thought similarly. These ideas are not unique, the twentieth century only popularized them in masse.
@@shadowofhawk55 Neither of the three mentioned elements was historically rejected by the communist states (the classic paragox of thinking that we will get rid of the state only by subordinating everything to it). And in the communist establishment, the individual is responsible to the whole and has personal accountability to sacrifice for him. Of course, in practice it does not work widely. But I would like to point out that even in the Animal Farm, the horse worked to death in good faith that it served common things. Just as an animal in farm was not the same and did not believe the same, so communists are not a hive mind. We need to convince horses. Sheep will roar whatever gives them a sense of herd safety, so the only really dangerous element are pigs. I consider this to be one of the greatest mistakes of liberalism, that it accepted the fiction of the hive mind socialism, instead of starting to defragment it internally into groups and individuals.
The video chat is talking about at 2:35:16 "The Next Major RTS Will Fail. This Is Why.". Despite the clickbaity title its a pretty interesting video on why most modern RTS haven't been successful, coming to the conclusion that there is too much focus on competitive multiplayer and not enough on campaigns and user generated content. I also recommend the creator's (GiantGrantGames) other videos, he mostly does challenge runs in Starcraft 2's campaign, most notably beating all of Starcraft 2 and Warcraft 3 without a single unit dying.
I wouldn’t say I find communist literature interesting but communist history is extremely interesting as in the conflict and relations between historical communist thinkers and their groups and non-communists and even their interactions with fascist groups
I dropped into the cast after the intro and I was like..... This man sounds dutch!!!! Hope you had a good kingsday brother! It's nice to hear there's a well-read 40k fan like yourself within our borders. Proost :P !
The Taros Campaign was supposed to be an analogue to Gulf war and long supply lines... but yeah it looks nicer than it reads. One thing that sticks out in my mind from Taros is the Eversor attack on the Ethereal and the large supply dump getting blown up by XV15 stealth suits! *KA-BOOM*
lmao, Arch commenting on Janovich switching out his f's and v's while Arch himself keeps switching v's and w's for god only knows what reason (it's not cuz he's Norwegian cuz Norwegian v is the same as English v).
Babylon 5 is indeed good. It did finish its arc, but got cut short in a way, because the original plan was for a 5 season arc, but they didn't get confirmed for the fifth season, so rushed a bit more of a conclusion into the 4th season, and the fifth became more of an "and then." Its a series I rewatch almost yearly.
What did he do? His video on arch appears in my recommendations every now and then, but besides that I'm unaware of anything more than the usual drama between them.
@@mpnuorva I think the idea is Janovich would post at some point the archytypical "reaction/my time with" kinda video. Or incorporate references into his stuff.
Good show, was interesting hearing about Janovich's history / animation views. Quite a while in, they were discussing what made Vraks or even Krieg so fascinating in contrast to everything else in 40k. Not only are they involved in more captivating events, but to me they are far more memorable from their initial civil war on their homeplanet, to their uniform, tactics, and selfless creed they approach battles with. Hopefully he gets funding, following, or whatever else, truly a talented animator.
Regarding a Serb having a name sounding close to Janovich, I am 99% sure it would've been spelled with a "ć" at the end instead of "ch" (the pronunciation of "ć" is hard to describe for an English speaker. It's a pallatalized "ts" (or "c" in Serbo-Croatian). Just like "ni" in "senior" is pallatalized "n"). Serbo-Croatian last names very very very often end with "ić".
1:06:41 - most modern "marxists" has absolutely nothing to do with his teachings. 1:16:25 - Question. What being privileged (define privileged) has to do with lack of effect that one or another party wins?
you two should work together to create some quality content, honestly listening to Arch and Jakonavich talk is like you two want to add what the other does. Just feels like a match made in heaven.
Brown Cheese kind of tastes like a more hearty kind of salted caremel/toffee. It's also very soft so it can be shaped, as a kid i'd sometimes roll slices into balls as a snack. Edit: Also it was originally (and is often still) called goat cheese in Norwegian, but there are brands made with cow which try to mimic the look and taste and are therefore "brown cheese". The Norwegian brown cheese, whether made with goat milk or not is nothing like "regular" goat cheese.
Plz arch-sama, understand the poor people who can't even spend money on their project cauz they have none. Gib money to creator ! Gib money to me so I can do stuff ! T_T

Sparta was a militarist dictatorial state that demands personal accountablity. Modern Commies are horrified of that.
