Actually one of my dream trimaran. Horstman TRI-STAR 43 XRC. Sad to see it in that shape. I will sign up for the journey though. Keep us posted.

It's a fiber glass boat. Even if you gut it completely, you can still build it up to any standard you want.

It's actually mostly wood (double diagonal ply) covered in epoxy/glass. But you are right, it can be built up to any standard you want. In fact some hull repairs will be solid fibreglass.

Beautiful trimaran, I really hope you succeed in rebuilding her. I love Horstman's designs. This one is in even worse shape than mine, not to mention much bigger. I subscribed to cheer you on!

mine is 7.20m or 23'. I treat mine like a solo day sailor mostly and stay aboard a couple of nights.

It was basically a giveaway as the owners were keen to find someone prepared and capable of repairing it. But I have spent near AU$10,000 so far on materials, equipment etc
