I almost did something like this growing up. My dad had told I and my siblings about leaving water inside mortar for three days, then when you wash your face with the water in that mortar and look around you or go to the market you will see spirits. Me, as the ada and one in charge of cooking pounding and all. I did exactly as my dad said, I left water inside mortar for three days. On the third day, I decided to do the final step. As I was about to wash my face with said water, my oldest brother gave me a heavy knock on my head and beat me to stupor that day. He said he knew i would try to practice it when my dad was telling us the story. My brother watched me closely for that 3days to see what i was doing and how it would end and if I'd change my mind or not. But i saw it till the end till the heavy knock landed on the centre of my head. The beating was not funny that night o, chai But I'm glad he stopped me, though
As a mother this story resonates with me! 😳🙄 seems like when you warn some kids about something it increases their curiosity & desire to put it to the test! 😂
This has happened in Benin City Edo State, Oba Market, a woman did that after been told about the Sellers, it was said that not everyone one is alive they are dead. One seller, told the woman you wanted to see what you wanted to see. And she gave her a slap and she became deaf and dumb and unable to talk.
@@AfricanEnchantingTalesByAda Yesoo sweetie, when the Oba is doing his traditional event, no woman is allowed out at a certain time or even not to attempt to wash anything, it is forbidden for woman because spirits are evoked, Baba walkes around the scared places in Benin City to protect its people. While I was there, I did shift work in NTA. Sometimes we finished at 1.00 am. Chiefs in white wrappers around their waist, would wait on the road to stop our bus, and climb in to find out if we were Children of the Soil. They will have something in their palm that will answer whatever they asked. When they touch each person’s forehead and it will answer them yes with a sound. That was my experience while in Benin City. Then my naughty skirt chasing womaniser, cousin was warned by his father to be extra careful out there and any girl he see out there. He must not even think of bringing any girl to the Mansion because of his brothers and sisters. His granny was my granny’s first cousin, mother’s mother. My darling cousin picked up a young girl across the road from his dad’s home. The road was opposite Aton Cemetery, he kind of picked up a goat legged girl. He said, he didn’t know how he got home, whether flew or jump, all he knew, was he found himself in his bedroom scared. To cut the long story short, his granny, had to come over to have a word with the spirit girl who kept changing into a coffin. She spent some time with the spirit, when mama came out of the room, she shook her head to say stupid boy. Next time you go keep your dirty mind in one place. My grandmother and her four siblings have the power to see and communicate with spirits in fact every woman in this family have the gift. Let’s just say, my cousin stopped going out after 9.00 pm and he dumped his brand new Jeep down the road. Spirit said, she wanted to teach him a lesson about wanting to sleep with any strange girls. Next time, he may not be lucky. Granny had to do some secret thing to make her go back to the grave. My girl cousin and I used to tease him, by saying when are you going to pick your spirit girlfriends, he would say leave me alone.
The lady doing the voice over. Great job you’ve done here. The storyline is beautiful I head that tale when I was attending Unibuja in Gwagwalada. I was dared to go try this but I didn’t bother. I was too busy being a busy student. I love dares naturally but I never bothered to try this one. I am glad to watch this story. Is it real like for real though?
Growing up my mum always warned me not to bend down in the market, i followed her to the market every Saturday and I was so curious about it for years. When I turned 14. I told my mum i was going to try it since she didn't tell me the reason not to. Since then till day this woman never took me to market again 😂.
