Can you explain about source of funds requirement.
Thanks. Here I talk about the minimum amount of funds you are required to show as per what is stated by the IRCC. But given the current economic situation in Sri Lanka, you may need to show more funds. Generally it is a good idea to show funds enough for two years tuition fees and one year living costs, if you can.

What I explain in this video is the minimum amount of funds you must show as per the IRCC website. But due to foreign exchange restrictions in Sri Lankan you may have to show more funds and pay tuition fees for at least one semester before applying for the study permit

Thanks. I would in most cases yes. Because you need a letter from that person, documents to show their financial commitments (mortgage payments etc.) , their income and some document to prove your relationship to them. Such as a birth certificate along with their birth certificate, marriage certificate, some connection.

Thanks. You will need a letter from him expressing his support, proof of income for him, his financial records/ bank statements and deposits as such and his financial commitments (mortgage, loan payments) and you will also need some proof to show your relationship.

If you have properties or business in Sri Lanka including documents to show that is a good way to show hometies. Also if you have parents living in Sri Lanka and you can say that you intend to go back to take care of them in your SOP.

Hii akki currently I’m following a HND in business here as well as I’m married so i planned to do my bachelors in Canada so the tutoring fee was like $20000 and my husband also going to apply with me so akki for show money we both have to show $14000 per annual or is it more that
14000 is the minimum requirement per year for living costs as per the government website. But you also have to show funds for the tuition fees in addition to the living costs. It is advised that you show funds worth of 2 years of tuition fees.

This is what is listed as the minimum amount required for living cost for a year as per the government of Canada immigration website. However, due to the economic situation in Sri Lanka it might be a good idea to show more funds when you apply for visas for your whole family. I have heard that it’s better if you can show two years courses fees plus living costs for a year.
Hi Akka will I be able to take my father as well on a visitor visa when I go on a study permit to Canada?
It depends. Sometimes he may be able to get a visitor visa to accompany you. But often times unless you are a minor a guardian or a parent is not required to be with you. So unless your dad can show family ties and all as proof that he will leave the country within a certain time, I’d say it would be risky apply for both your study permit and his visitor visa at the same time. Also you’d have to show more funds to support his visit.

However, scope for funding for thesis based MBA student are very limited as it is considered a professional course. You can check out university Alberta, university of Calgary, for thesis based MBA programs.
