You should try Octavia/Laura 2.0 TDI that will be the right comparison for this car. My Laura 2.0 TDI gives me 18-24 KMPL on highways, I can get 20+ if i keep my speed below 100 km/hr with full load. Even with aggressive driving, i never get anything below 18 kmpl on highways. Inside city i get ~15 kmpl. This is more efficient than my Figo TDCI.
2.0 Diesel with 5 speed manuals (be it this Chevy or Laura) not sure for what reason but they tune this with tall gear ratio, you can easily go above 100 in 4th, if you are a quick shifter you ll have problem driving these cars. recommendation is to shift to 5th post 60. so in city getting to 5th is not possible.
Really impressed that a 2.0 Diesel Chevy still running with original clutch post 2L KMs... kudos to the owner's driving. Cruze manual, the greatest pain point was the clutch, hard and wear out fast. He should give a session on his shifting techniques.
