MK ex skater here. So many great memories being chased through the shopping centre and the multi-story carparks. If you got good bearings and you get in the shopping centre early, 15 big pushes is all you need to ride the full mile!
I mean, if team gb really wants to get gold then maybe an usa sized skatepark in mk (with hop King partnership) would be a good investment for them *cough cough*

I saw Alex in a big competition a month or 2 ago and he’s a lot of fun to watch. He didn’t make the finals, but I think he came pretty close. Hope he keeps going for it. 🙂
When I skated mk around 14 years old, used to see Alex quite often. He would be trying to get a trick with his dad filming, full commitment there until he got it, cool to see what he achieved
Some very unique tricks featured in those DEW tour clips. Would be cool to see that creativity with tricks going forward, not all about the big rails 🙃

Very mixed comment section. I started skating in 1984 still trundle a bit today at 47. I see this Olympic thing as good for sum but not for most skaters. The organised comp side of things is something new skaters coming through seem to edge towards. All I hope is skateboarding will always be about having fun and riding with all your brothers and sisters pushing each other and creating memories.

He’s good but that’s it. If he’s the best street skater in the UK then roll the sad trombone. I know some unreal skaters, one from Edinburgh and another from Cornwall, they both have “professional careers” and only skate as a hobby but would blow Alex out the water.
