Hi, Veronica. I sure appreciate your videos. What if you are sewing two completely different colored blocks together---say a yellow block and a purple block? Then what color of thread would you use?
I would actually use a medium to light gray. I use that for a lot of piecing because it's a great neutral that seems to blend in well with a lot of colors. If I have a dark and a light fabric I tend to use thread that is closer to the lighter fabric.
I honestly have no idea the size of needle I'm using. 😳 It's been in my needle case for decades. The eye is very narrow so there isn't a lot of bulk that I'm pulling through the fabric. It's also long enough so I can load a bunch of stitches on the needle before pulling it through. I wish I could be of more help but I've had all my hand needles in a needle case for 25 years and the package information was thrown away long ago. Just try different ones until you find one that fits your hand well and you like how it stitches.

What size needle do you use? I can't seem to find one that works for me at the moment, which leads me to believe I've not got the correct type.
