I have used a different approach. Even when driving, just touch and hold the "car" symbol for a while until the entire system reboots. Speakers start working even without having to re-enter all audio settings.
I found pushing the glove box connectors closer together fixed my problem. Greyish connector maybe 1 degree off square , just pushed it hard. Second time this fix has worked.
Sod's Law, I just went out to try this on my car and the bloody sound came on for the first time in weeks. :) I will definitely try it next time it randomly happens though. Like many others I've read and tried many different 'solutions' but was always defeated by the Peugeotness of it all. ;) Thanks in advance though. :)
I know i can see this was 4 months ago my you tube has just flagged this msg up now, hope it works for you in the future, turn off your blue tooth on your phone when you do it if you have that linked to your car untill it comes back on then turn blue tooth back on 👍
I had the same problem, only that over the months it stopped ringing, I took it to the agency and they changed a damaged horn, and it rang again, just today I start having the same problem
Same problem, tried factory reset, but then I didn’t wait for 2 minutes and restart the car. Will try next time though! Cheers! Ps. Had the car in the shop for 3 days for troubleshooting but they couldn’t find any faults 🤪
Have you got a USB plugged in,my reset hasn't worked for a long time but found another way,if you have a USB plugged in turn your car off pull out the USB plugged it in get out lock the car for 5 mins it should come on,then all I do and its never failed every time you turn off the car just pull the USB out plug back in lock car and it's always on,you don't have to wait 5 min only wait 5 mins if its not worked for a long time, agree 100% with you this should not happen with modern cars
No usb plugged in so do i plug one in then do what you said ? Silly question i know. Thanks for reply mate im goin mental driving with no SOUND @danieljarrett7227
@BrandonTaylor-bg1xv you could get one and try it you can buy them for a few pound, mines been fine since I've started just unplugging it when the cars switched off then putting it back it just takes a couple of seconds ,my brothers has started doing the same to and is trying this and it's fine, believe me i know how you feel this has been doing my bloody head in and driving me crazy for 3 year's main dealer constantly saying they have never heard of this problem, what a load of bollocks they haven't,recall every 308 and fix it

In my case the reboot doesn't work.
@cristianotansini1302 it doesn't reboot or the reboot doesn't solve your problems?
@@martijnverduin it doesn't solve the issue.

Hello, there is a high frequency sound coming from my peugeot 508's dashboard. Do you have any idea what it could be?

The factory reset worked just the first time I did it. Now let's try the USB trick.
