I wasn’t born yet, and my parents weren’t even married. However, there isn’t a single person I know that doesn’t recall where they were when they heard that President Kennedy was shot, and / or had died on that fateful day in November 1963. America would never be the same nor ever recover…
I was the same age as John John, Mom screamed so loud the neighbor lady Mrs. Reyes came over, Dad came home from work and so did Mister Reyes a motorcycle cop in Phoenix. I still remember the Saturday of the funeral in black and white the carriage and boots backwards in the stirrups, I was mad there were no cartoons. Mom was never the same and America will never know the whole truth. When LBJ died she called him a murderer and an SOB. Now we do know, my Mom was Right!
I was 8 years old and our elementary school sent us all home for the day. I remember thinking that the gun carriage on TV was taking the coffin up and down the street over and over. I didn’t realize that it was just the news repeating itself.
This is totally unrelated, but the radio the staff are listening to is like the one my great-grandfather had. And the one I still have.

I wish my mom and dad were alive so I could talk to them about this. I was too young to understand.
I was sitting in my parents' living room, on leave from the navy. Only the second time I ever saw my dad cry 😢
The following scenes we see the Queen writing a letter to Jackie!
Last Friday was the 61st anniversary of this event!

Kennedy was shot about 12:30 Dallas time, which would have been 18:30 uk time and in November would have been pitch black outside
It’s a show, not a documentary.
@ yes I funnily enough understand that.
