I agree. For the simple reason that you can take water out from any spot in a 2x2, whereas with a 3x1 you have to take it took the center block of water I think.

@Gamerzoid Alpha bedrock is what I play in currently. The pillagers simply will not track the villager in the pit. Like they dont know he even exists so they just wander around. They should be funneling in no?

Thank god u did it in survival. Many tutorials are in creative so having it in survival helps to show how to exactly do it.

Yeah, it's so easy to build tall, overhanging things when you're floating around in creative but in survival it's totally different! I really appreciate tutorials in survival. 🤓

Love the simplicity of this, you got a new subscriber.
Excellent, easy build! This should be the first thing on all hardcore players' to-do list. As soon as I found a village in my newest hardcore world, I made this farm. I didn't have nether wood but spruce worked fine. Created a fletcher for bows and arrows and found an outpost. Killed the flag guy, raced back to the farm and triggered the raid. Apart from some lava-resistant witches and one last straggling vindicator, the raid was easy and scored me three totems. And it's only Day 16.
Learn from my failure. I build it near a cave entrance, and then had to hunt stray raiders in the cave. Very time consuming. Cover up your cave entrances and light up the insides.
Another failure. I built it not watching the whole video and not knowing we needed a pillager outpost
Thank you so much! So many of these tutorials are either in creative or too complicated and I get annoyed and quit, but yours was actually really easy. The only setback was the fact that I built mine next to a ravine, so I had to cover it up. Other than that it worked really well. Time to sell these totems and get rich lol

Quick tip: If you don have enough materials for the bad omen farm, you could just make this farm close to a pillager outpost.
I did this and started a raid and pillagers kept coming from the outpost and started a infinete raid

Died in lava with a full inventory. though I ll build this farm instead. 3hrs later! still land scraping and no farm. Lol
I've been using this kind of design for a while, but just recently I started building it way up near build limit at about y=200, with a platform around the water trap (I call it the "wash") to control where they spawn. I put a wall around the spawn platform. One villager above the water, and one villager down below with me. The raid doesn't start until I go up the bubble column to get to my platform. With them forced to spawn really close, I have pillagers dropping in almost immediately after the horn sounds. It probably helps that I keep building it over water way out in the ocean.

I built this in a ocean and the bar kept filling up then disappearing. If you have this problem build a 5x5 platform above the fences and add trapdoors to every outer block then the problem is fixed

How high above the wall should I build this platform (blackstone wall in video)
Mine just full gauge then nothing spawn and the bar is gone. Do you know why?
Maybe the raid spawns in the nearby caves ? Try and block the spawning spaces into them, I think the reason the bar appears and disappears is because the raid spawns in caves and can’t pathfind to the village and just vanish. Hope it helps
Actually I did some testing and I think it’s because you are standing too far away from the « village » plus you have miss placed the villager even by one block, I’d recommend to fix it... if you are still having issues I’d encourage you to build the farm somewhere else. And if you are STILL having issues well I don’t know it might be your destiny xD

I made this floating over an ocean with an extra ring of blocks around the outside and a ring of fences outside that. It makes the raid take about a minute and a half total. Mobs spawn and immediately fall down, its awesome.
How many blocks did you make the ring around with? My raid bar loads but the raid doesn't start
@@DanskeGames I'll have to check but it should only be 3 wide all around with the furthest ring having a fence all around it to keep them from falling in the ocean

@@hawwi2 ill take a picture when I get a chance, but in the meantime you might want to check caves if its not a deep ocean. Illagers spawn in caves sometime if you're closer to them than the platform at the top so if you didn't make it high up enough they could be down there.

Its so simple and resources friendly you almost have to try it once lol the 34 minutes it took me to build, while recording this and do the raid, I now have 9 Totems lol Its a great Combo

So if I were to build a huge platform in the ocean would it still work? As during raids I have done manually they keep on spawning underground and I dont wanna mess it up.
It would yes, Build it big enough so that they choose to spawn there instead of any nearby caves.
i have my loot room where i kill in a big cave, when i hit the bell, i dont see ay of them being in the cave, they all are up on surface next to villager.

Good luck! I had a keep inventory world first to get used to survival and then I switched. Three months later and I just got my 5th beacon today. I highly recommend breeding villagers and making an iron farm. This dude has great tutorials. I did wattle's iron farm and then did chapman's creeper farm. The creeper farm is amazing since its so easy to expand. Afk for 30 minutes and 9 stacks of gunpowder. I stacked it 4 times. Used villagers to trade for good enchantments and used the gunpowder for tnt to get full netherite everything. I really enjoy the legit survival world, but I have had some really big scares when Ive died and tried to collect my things.
When u get more late game u should build rays works hero of the villager farm it’s basically a raid farm but automatic and you get hero of the village stuff

Playing on a server thats on hard mode, every time I strike an evoked he summons vexes and kills me. Any ideas how to fix this? Idc about xp so if they die automatically that’s fine I just want totems
let them fall down to y 10 or something like that
@@MaartenNEC yea just let them fall low enough to be one shot
put boats around your head level next to where youre going to stand. theyre gonna hit you once but then theyll get stuck in the boats and theyre easy kills.
Make the fall shaft like 30 blocks, so they insta die. They still give totems.
carve ledge around drop shaft above your head, add boats to this ledge. Vexes will be trapped in the boats.
this video is the definition of easy.

It's good but you could have said that if you build it close to the outpost, it will only spawn pillagers and that wave will last until you lose.

Hey, so, I built this farm, and it kind of works, but. My pillagers won't run to the center area and fall down the hole, they kind of just stand and run around the immediate area. (Also my bell won't show their outlines) any tips? Thanks for your time!

You have to keep getting bad omen, once you beat the raid bad omens goes away so you got to go get it again

Also if for some reason you are very lazy, you can replace the slabs above the hoppers with lit campfires

villager house needs to be on the same side that you are down below. It wont work if you stand put villager on the opposite side.

Couldn’t you build this farm in the same place as the outpost farm? If you did that, flag pillagers would just spawn in the same place as the raid and fall into your kill pit, making it so you don’t have to move to get Bad Omen. I know this is meant to be a build that doesn’t use an outpost, but it works in theory, right?
