It is crazy how he plowed right into the center then stayed there, letting all the imps hit him. If he'd just kept stomping this fight would have been over in like 10 seconds..
This is why Cyber Romero was so scary, he kept teleporting around to the fringes

I like how the Icon's trample attack splatters each one, like if something that size trampled anything yeah there'd be nothing left.
If the imps could shoot over each other, not hitting themselves in the back, this would be over way quicker

3:50 could you imagine how quick the Imps on "Nightmare" mode could have taken the Icon of Sin out if his hitbox was dead center and not by his feet?
WOM: have you considered putting *Complex Doom* monsters into the arena? A Doomer named Hexa has some really good playthroughs. He used Complex Doom plus Legendary Monsters, which would randomly pick a monster to make exponentially more powerful. Might be something you would be interested in.
An enemy that large needs more sprite rotations, the modern ports support more than 8.

Icon of Sin titan has 14000 more HPs than that Bot Romero and he stood no chance.

Should have put the 2 icons on opposite sides. It just kinda seemed like they only get in their own way most of the time.
I always wanted to see the icon of sin level redone where he's still sort of a wall but with claw lifts and the surrounding level shaped to look like limbs and a body

i was wondering that too. countless imps in the back had to have been mowed down by friendly-fire as it currently is. if the imps recognized the head as the target, surely there's no way that even 5k imps on ultra-violence would lose against 1 icon of sin (titan). that's my prediction anyway
@@frikghorgan imps are immune to their own friendly fire...unless something was changed for this match.
@@Batmann_ I think he means that the Imps wouldn't lose because if they were aiming up, then most of them wouldn't just keep hitting each other.
@@Batmann_ i know that most enemies in Doom/Doom 2 can attack and kill each other, but i wasn't aware that imps couldn't hurt other imps with their fireballs. thanks for the heads up!
do you know if imps are immune to ALL friendly fire from other imps, or if they're just immune to the friendly fireballs and nothing else?
@@frikghorgan In general, enemies in Doom cannot harm other enemies that are of the same species. So, Hell Knights can't hurt each other, imps can't hurt each other, etc. This logic does NOT apply to hitscan.
I expected a much much much easier victory for the Icon of Sin, but for some reason it chooses to shoot in the most innefficient targets possible.

Anyone know what that repetitive gong means? Other bouts it happens *maybe* every few seconds as he's stomping around, but in NM mode here it was almost constant, like dinnertime at The Muensters or something. Pain sound?
