You can lay a large piece of aluminum foil on your counter tops and when the cat jumps up on them the foil scares the cat. It won't continue to jump up on the counter tops.
Unless your cat is psycho like mine😂😂😂🙄🙄🙄

Thanks for the cleaning motivation. We sprayed our cat with a water bottle to teach her not to get on counter or scratch on couch & it worked after being consistent, give that a try.
Same here sick of the couch and bar stools being clawed at

Hi Emily about the cat I don't have one but my sister does and he does not go on top of anything she trained him with a spray bottle of water and he's so good! As well he would scratch on the sofa and he no longer does he's really good so I'm sure your will be great it's just a matter of patience and training! Love your home so beautiful and you are so organized ❤
try putting foil on the countertops, one or two times and he'll learn that countertops mean noisy shiny stuff if he jumps up there. It worked really well for my kitties.
Glad you're back! Cats hate the smell of anything citrus. I mix water, a couple drops of dish soap, and lemon essential oil and spray my plants and furniture. I spray the cats with regular water if they get on the counters.
Been watching you guys for some time now... The kids have grown congratulations on the new house it looks amazing I always enjoy how you clean. Can you please talk about how you sustain your energy and weight loss after kids I have a 1year old havent been able to drop the weight this go round he's my third! Thanks for the motivation ❤

Get your cat some catnip toys it keeps them occupied, they also don’t like the scent peppermint, you can spray it around the bottom of your island or anywhere you don’t want them to jump or bother things. First of all, your channel is about cleaning motivation. You don't need to feel bad or pressured into talking about current events. Secondly, it is completely okay to feel the way you are, whether you were directly affected or not. It's sad and sickening that this is the country that we have to raise our children in.
Lastly, watching you pick up your daughters room pulls at my heart. My daughter's room was my favorite to keep clean with everything in its place. All the stages of growing up she went through. It was sad when the baby toys were replaced with toddler toys, then bigger kid toys, then preteen things. Now there's not a toy left in my daughter's room and she gets irritated when I go in to straighten up and some things get moved around. Kids grow up fast and I miss my little bug😢
Emily, I have a cat too. They love the counter. I asked my Vet onceand she says that they think the counters are mountains. LOL. Anyways, we love our cat so she gets the run of the house.

Omg, I have the same probs with my cat 😂 it means I have to clean the counter twice as much because of hair. I can’t stand it but I love my boy. Someone actually shot him and broke his leg so he’s kind of a rescue since we had to pay for his surgery and luckily he got to keep his leg. 🙏

Roll tin foil on the counter they don't like it, and it brakes the habit. A spray bottle of water also works. 👍👍

my cat loves when I get out the ocedar mop. he likes to watch it spin and watch me mop. He also likes when I sweep. But I have to watch him, he will sit on my dirt piles while I go to get the dustpan
Great cleaning motivation Emily! 🌼 A spray bottle with water in it when he gets on the counters to spray his face as most cats hate water. Also they like to be in high places from the floor. Maybe get a cat tree condo and putting it by a window. They love to look outside. 🌼
Not all of us can focus on negative things because it messes with our mental health. I know! I DO NOT like someone making you feel bad about not commenting on tragic events. You are here to post videos.. you are not the news. I hear about these things and I pray. I don’t dwell on it anymore because it depresses me. I love, have compassion and definitely pray for these innocent people. To be all you can be, you need to pray and trust God. Don’t worry about things that are going on because God has us.
