had the snes since i was young, and had almost a lot of game cartridges that was dumped on by my uncle. played this, but young me didn't even know what combos are or the moves just by some time ago i rediscovered this and got an emu since my console was gone now i'm using this video as a combo tutorial and guide feels good man
I'm pretty sure every unit has at least one infinite. I've personally learned one of Wing's and one of Vayate's. Video showed infinites for Sandrock, Deathscythe, Shenlong, Mercurius and Epyon. I'm pretty sure both Wing Zero and Heavy Arms have at least one infinite, but I could be wrong. But yeah, I agree. Wing Gundam definitely has some of the most ridiculous normals and they all are super fun to combo.
Natsume is great (yeah the guys from Wild Guns), they also made the Power Rangers Fighting Edition for snes, u can notice their trademark on the animations, soundtrack and mechanics
With this having been on SNES, makes me think decent ports of SSF2T or even X-Men: COTA would have been possible. Heck, even a decent port of Samurai Spirits and not that crap Takara released.
Alpha 2 for Snes was shoved full of extra chips and what not and still wasnt running smoothly, i doubt that they could have ported X-Men CotA properly to the Snes. They would have to compress all sound, probably cut out some animations, stages or even characters to get X-Men CotA on a Snes cartridge, it would have been the butchered port that nobody wants to play. But you are right, a decent SSF2T or Samurai Spirits port would have been possible.
You're right, I didn't think about the sound. I just realized this game doesn't have voices. I was just blown away with just how fluid this was for a SNES fighting game. Seeing combos on par, hit-wise, with the VS series on the SNES just seems incredible. But yeah, adding in voices and whatnot would not make for an enjoyable experience. To this day, I wonder how Capcom/SNK ports would have been IF the Nintendo Play Station actually became a thing.
@@MrBroken030 The only chip that SFAlpha 2 used was one to compress all the files. The mistake of that port was Capcom handling the sprites capabilities poorly. Just by using larger sprites (EX: 16x16 like Endless Duel) instead of small ones, they could have improved the performance a lot. It would leave more space to adding details as well, since there would be less sprites on the screen. By the way, some devs have already improved the port with MSU-1 (the loadings are much faster and it has higher quality music).
Am I the only who have seen in the versus screen diferent gundam pilot when you choose the same character ? like heavy arms with heero wing with lady une mercurius with heero vayate with trowa wing zero with zechs dont remember the other s
The kick combos? Insane timing + wave dashing/neutral canceling. I used to know the exact frame timings for these combos but I don't remember them anymore. I don't think many of them were 1 frame timings but they are really tight. For some reason I remember 4, 6, and 8 frames as being the most important ones with a few at 2 and 3. Maybe there were some 1 frame ones in there somewhere. Don't recall. Sorry. LOL
Did anyone else notice the first Theme Song for "Pride Fighting Championships" was being used at the beginning?! I looked that up on You Tube and the fighting is really good. My Dad watches Ultimate Fighter Championships. And I keep on telling him "I think he'd love Pride FC." But, I don't really count on that. On the Subject Dad had to fight in High School. There were Gangs in that school who'd immediately look at him and instantly wanna rank him in number and beat him up. But too many times his Temper made him punch too quickly for any of those bullies to fight back when they threatened him. My mom told me that sometimes Dad's friends at School would literally have to pull him out of a fight because he'd be pounding the heck outta that other kids' face. I can only say this. My dad never had to fight in a Competition or a Tournament for Points... My dad fought for life.
To be fair, Sailor Moon S is a good fighter despite the jank. I'd probably put this, Sailor Moon, and Turtles: TF has the holy trinity of SNES fighters.

This is insane! 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, even 100% health damage combo! This game really is the gem of SNES.
it probably is the most unique fighting game on the system, the engine is quite deep for a snes fighting game of that time.
whats the name of that music of the first 3 minutes, I will suscribe and see your videos if you tell me the name of the music
ok thanks
OHH THANKS, do you have facebook
check the credits of the video for all the music used
A classic of art of a game that is in 2D.
As I expected, Wing Zero has superior stats on paper. But the original Wing has MUCH better combo potential.

I have so many great memories of this game. Best SNES fighter

Remember playing this back in 03… Good times man
Gundam Wing: Endless Combo
Back when I thought only deathscythe had the endless combo.
Great music and stylish combos. What more can you ask for?
Sorry sega.
This game has always been somewhere between Street Fight and MvC in my mind xD
me after quarantine:
I'd argue this game is actually far more balanced than MvC2 and many other fighting games.
ANOTHER MARVEL PLAYER LIKES GUNDAM WING! Life is good
Hell yeah
yo this is sickkkkk
CLASSIC GAME
Way to go on the video. *Clap for u* it was totally awesome

2 years later and I'm still thinking about this haha.

That sandrock got obliterated
Is it just me, or this game was built on the same engine as Power Rangers Fighting Edition? The game seems to be an improvement over PRFE.
It was the same dev team, that much i know

everyone still didnt know that wing and wing 0 can transform in the game? :v
Yeah, but his 2424 ATK isn't really that good for combos lol.
Indeed, it sucks. The best use for it is to get 1-3 chip damage to end the game. And even then it's a gimmick. xD
Nick Quiray how what are the moves?
What?
@@RVCAXD down, back, down, back, "rifle"... Just opposit of the special beam move.
Excepcional
NICE
are there any communities for this game anymore? I'm just stumbling upon this game and im hooked. anyone out there??
