I know its 2 years later but I still have to say : You my good sir have "Excellent" taste in music! You are correct that this is certainly the best song Ozzy did with Randy. It's actually very melodic, almost beautiful, yet still rocks. Especially with the blistering solo put at the end of all places by Randy confirming this song still rocks! lol Randy my #2 fav guitarist (David Gilmour #1. I mean kinda hard for him not to be. lol.) And such an avoidable accident wrecking in an airplane because you just got into a plane that the coked up bus driver who just drove the last 10 hours, and hadn't flown a plane in 3 years said "Hey, let's go for a ride". Not to mention it wasn't even their plane to get in and fly. I think Randy would have gone on his own, started another band (since Quiet Riot had already been doing their thing without him, to much success) and Randy would have changed Rock and Roll forever, coming up with a different type of metal and Rock and Roll. He was just so melodic with his playing while still being able to tear it up. But really, it is/was Randy's songwriting ability that truly captured me. There's plenty of guitarists out there that can play anything. But not too many that can write great songs. (That's why maybe my number #3 is Slash. I never tire listening to him play the guitar. And not just G-n-R, but his solo work, and work done with Miles Kennedy he has a ton of great songs he wrote. And coming up with Paradise city on your debut album, talking about hitting one out of the park with bases loaded. And as for my most "overlooked" guitarists being Mark Knopfler, Guthrie Govan (He always plays like he is holding something back.), Mick Marrs (basically the whole reason Motley Crue exists and has some good songs. His playing I think is overlooked especially with the physical handicap he has had to deal with concerning having a spinal disease.), and Billy Duffy (The Cult. Absolutley one of "the bluesiest" guitars ever in rock and roll. Huge huge The Cult fan. Every album having something special on it. Even the newer stuff. ) So to celebrate having found a kindred spirit how about some recent ear candy: "Mos Generator - Heavy Ritual". "Robot God - Long Way Road" - a brilliant 12 minute song! They are from Australia, and I think this is off just their 2nd album. "Sakis Tolis - Among the Fires of Hell". entire album. He's Greek, and this is his first solo album released free on TH-cam in 2022. And "Lacuna Coil - Blood,Tears, Dust". From Italy, and Who has my favorite female singer at the moment Christina Scabia. Pretty much every album since Comalies forward is good stuff. Very consistent song writers. And honorable mention "Seas on the Moon" and "Lena Scissorhands - The Regress". From Moldova. Two Brothers - Seas on the Moon, and they write the music and bring in singers to sing on their song, and plus have a number of really good instrumental works as well. "Moritual Healing" being a really good album in that regard. Lena on the other hand is my 2nd fav female singer at the moment. The Regress not the best video, but the song is 10/10 in my book. Lena Scissorhands and the Death Dealers Union - Borderlines" is also worth checking out. Another great example of her work. She also has a band "Infected Rain". But really does alot of work with other people as well. I usually listen to 4 hours of music a day. Have been since a teenager and play drums. Avoid the television and especially the "news". When "Covid" hit back in 2020 I had no idea what was going on. lol And I still never got a vaccination or caught the stuff. If you want to live a long and healthy active life - stay away from doctors! But most importantly I have very high standards for my music and Rock-and-Roll (My number 1 all time fav female singer is Debbie Harry - Blondie. Male - Ronnie James Dio.). You won't be disappointed. Now go crank that shit up!

And hearing Ozzy on the radio. His music has been a part of my life since day one. It's very nostalgic very very nostalgic for me. The song brings me back quite a ways actually I love this. My absolute favorite Aussie song is Time after Time. That one fucking kills me every time I hear it.
I was NOT expecting it to be this good. Well done! Everyone on that stage did a fantastic job and kudos to the guy on guitar for keeping it exceptionally close to the original studio version throughout. He went note for note and played it just as Randy had played it on the DOAM album. As a huge RR fan I can't even begin to say just how much I appreciated that.
The only version better than this is the original. Wow. Fantastic. All of it. And the guitarist nailed it. I was 16 when Randy died, wxactly one week before they were to play in Philly. 🤟🙏🙆♂️

The outro to Tonight is the best example of Randy Rhoads' skills. Supposedly, the solo continued on for several minutes after the recorded session ended. This should be required studies for any guitarist.

These guys actually sound pretty good. Even the guy singing sounds alot like Ozzy. But the overall sound is really good. Two thumbs up to the band and Front of House for taking the time to do it right for the guests and fans. This is my favorite Ozzie song. Overlooked by most. The melody is just magical. And I thought the lyrics and Ozzy's performance was perfect for what is actually a beautiful song that still rocks. 10/10! (At The end of the song the lead solo Randy puts together is nothing less than sinister. To end such a melodic song with such a blistering nasty guitar solo is just "Brilliant". )
It's my favorite Randy Rhoads song. This guitarist here is great, but every single guitarist that I've seen do this outro solo absolutely skips the part in the solo where there's a pluck and dive. it sounds like "peekeeeeeew". Anybody who has turned up the volume as the outro fades out knows that part I'm talking about. One guitarist told me that he thought it must have been a studio dub overlay, but still he (Randy) did it, and I've never seen anyone even do it standalone without the continuity of the music. That's why I think that Randy actually did it without doing a second track studio overdub. As a youngster I was amazed by just the mental acrobatics it took to include that sound, let alone the physical skill to do it. Anybody else?

Holy sh#t! I thought this was the real Ozzy! This lead singer nails it (voice, body language). It always bothered me that Ozzy didn't play more from Diary when Randy was alive. He performed "Believer" and "Flying High Again" during the '81-'82 tour but not much else. If you are familiar with more Diary live jams, please drop them in the comments. Would have loved to hear "Little Dolls" for example.
I'm wondering if there are some "rights" issues. Particularly his Live albums. I've only seen one DOAMM song on a live album and it wasn't one of the really good ones.

Hey Steve, thank you very much for the kind words man. Very much appreciated. There actually isn't any post production on our videos. We use several Zoom Q4 & Q8 videos and use the audio from the camera out front by the soundboard for the best audio. We then cut and splice in the different camera shots we want along with the audio from the front of house camera.
