I think their similarity is intentional. For people who think Cytus 2 is somehow worse or does songs too differently because of how it looks. Its only improved. Detection is higher. Expect more MMs in Cytus 2 easily. But it's still Cytus through and through. Hard Landing proves it. I would have chosen another STA song myself but its alright!
Krystal Myth yea they improved Cytus that's all. I play guitar and bass a lot and since the first Cytus came out I had touch issues with my index fingers and thumbs.
Hard landing was one of my favorite songs on Cytus 1, thanks to those "clapping" parts. You really feel like making the beat yourself, it's highly enjoyable

@7 Melt Cytus 2's graphics fits well with the overall setting and theme of the game, plus it's simply better in terms of gameplay cause everything's cleaner and the additional effects aren't "in your face" so to speak. Whereas, looking back, Cytus 1 just looks like a mess.
