Hi, this is a 4 cylinder, but this Trail edition has a towing capacity of 3500 pounds. Some day I plan on getting a small trailer for a boat, but for now it's just there as a recovery point if I ever needed it as there are no tow hooks on this model. Thanks for watching and the kind words!
Hi. I am simply following the manufacturer's install instructions. Not sure how to answer your question. Perhaps you should ask Curt directly for a proper explanation. Thanks for watching.
Hi. I was working for 3 hours today... and I failed.. I'm going to try again next time. The reason I failed... Both sides won't go in at the same time.. If you fasten the bolt on one side The trailer hitch on the other side is not going in.. No matter how hard I try, I can't... I ask for your help.
Hi. Try supporting at both ends or ask for help. I put in 1 passenger bolt first just enough to hold it up and then went to the driver side. It does take some wiggling around but eventually it will go in. Screw on the bolts just a little to hold it then when they are all started you can tighten them down.
This video helped me install the same hitch on my Rav. Thanks for the help.
Thanks for watching!
Just saw this video. I installed same hitch a few months ago with wiring harness also without having to remove any bolts/drop muffler
Nice video!
Thanks!
My 2024 RAV has 1" clearance between muffler and rear bumper apron, dropping 3 muffler clamps added 15 min install
hola, muy buen video, tengo una Rav4 2024, me sirve igual el Curt 13416 ? gracias por tus comentarios
Hi you can go to Curt's web site to check your model of Rav4. Thanks for watching!
Nicely made video. Do you have a 4 or 6 cylinder. And I am curious to know what you pull with it? Thanks Joshua

@@Jet_Finder mine only has a 1500 lb towing capacity so I'm still debating on getting a hitch or not again nice video though.
$200 for a tow point to get you out, or to pull out a buddy
How necessary are the torque wrenches

Why would you grease the holes? Wouldn’t you want to put some type of a sealer lock so the bolts don’t loosen up over time ?
I did that more to clean the threads not as a lube. I checked after 2 months and they were still tight. Thanks

my rav 4 (2019)
passenger side so on our vehicle we have It has a tow hook.
Do I have to remove the tow hook and work on it?
Yes I saw another video and they removed the tow hook. Your hitch will become the new tow hook
@@Jet_Finder Thank you!
How about for the wirings?
